There are many Rafa fans with wishful thoughts. Can you blame us ?

This is the North American Summer = Rafa Land.
Djokovic has no place here.

Its not like 2014 made Djokovic look any better, actually became worse.

If he dodges Rafa.

QF Nishikori is a cakewalk, has nothing to hurt Rafa with on hardcourt.
On clay Nishikori can hurt Rafa because he's quicker than Rafa, but on hardcourt Rafa hits through him like its nothing.
Nishikori can only beat stupid dumb clowns like Djokovic.

Oh man I can't stop laughing

got our shot at Rafa vs. Novak tomorrow, only The Twins stand in the way...has Novak pulled off the singles and doubles?..I know Nadal has...Fed?

edit: sorry, that would be a final

Nice first set from Murray, Tsonga has always been a nice matchup for him in the past tho so this isnt too suprising. It took GOAT Tsonga last year to beat him and even then he still pushed him all the way

Tanking theories are always stupid. Most players certainly wish to peak for the Grand Slams but these guys are competitors. They want to win all the big events they enter. They're also world class athletes who manage their schedule well. They're fine.
I agree. + Novak had a long time off after W already. He really doesn't need more. He needs match play to warm up for USO. After that, he could always skip Beijing and take another long break after USO. Now is really not the time for "rest".

same happened on grass recently at davis cup meet GB vs France
Tsonga doesnt have that Murray ability to get every ball back and
turn it into offense, he is just usually offense no second game.

Muzzle vs Nole final? looks that way
If Nadal can win all the clay events before RG Im sure these 2 guys feel the same
and would not tank any matches just maybe be tired or lose heart but Stan tanked.

Wow, Tsonga's ranking has slipped. :/

Hope that he can at least assert himself in the top 16 by the end of the season. I can't imagine it being easy for him to get back in there. I don't want to start seeing him lose in the third round of slams, of course I don't expect it to come to that, but he definitely needs to start playing some smaller tournaments... 250s, 500s.

Am i right in thinking that if Murray makes the final here. He overtakes Federer for #2? Or does he need to win the whole thing for that to happen?

10-8 Bryans for the win, brutal day for Nadal....beatdown in singles...tough, close loss to the best doubles team ending at 2 a.m....now off to the press to answer when he's going to retire...should probably just fly off to the Waffle House in Mason right now

I fell asleep, but no surprise to see Murray won. I don't think Murray or Djokovic will have much trouble getting to the final.

Just wondering how Andy can beat Novak. Will the French Open (failed) comeback inspire him? I don't know, just seems like one of those never ending nightmares. Murray destroying almost everybody, but then, it's like that boss on the final level you can't beat. No matter what you try, you still lose. Insert coin.

You are correct -Murray will be number 2 on Monday if he wins tonight. In fact he will be second seed at the USO if he wins tonight.

If Murray keeps making SFs or better in the remainder of this year, he'll basically take Federer's place of no. 2 with 9,000+ points. If he wins USO, which I believe is his best slam, there's a great chance he'll get to 10,000+ points by the end of this year. That will set him up nicely for his challenge at no. 1 in the first half of next year. This should be huge motivation for him now.

ND in 2 or 3 over J Chardy

KN over Murray in 2 or 3 sets, Kei does hit aces , now and getting better at it, his baseline game has been great so far. Dismissed Nadal in 2, Murray would be taxed plus to due this.

Cheers
3fees :)

Murray will be ranked #2 if he makes the final

Then he only has to do as well as Fed in Cincy to be #2 for the USO

He's in the same half as Federer in Cincy, so whoever wins that potential match will be the No.2 seed. (If Murray loses in Montreal final, which he hasn't even reached yet lol)
