What's the match like so far? I was hoping I would catch some of it but judging by the score it'll be over in a flash. At least for once it's stress free against Chardy.

Jinxed it he got broken back.

Okay, now please hold. All his matches with Chardy have gone the distance. He really needs to win this in 2.

The schedule sucks, so Roger can't afford to waste energy.

Great serve to bring up match point!

Fed wins 6/2 6/1. Way more one sided than I thought it would be. Usually he is more of a challenge for Federer. Ain't complaining though!...

Good to see off Chardy quickly to save energy for potential Monfils-Stan-Berdych/Raonic-Nadal/Djokovic.

Chardy only held serve twice today?!

That was immense from Federer. He's going to obliterate either Nadal or Djokovic in the final, who frankly looked like utter **** in their matches. Their decline is steep.

Tough luck for all the dumb Djokodal fans.

Sod them.

Peace out.

Saw the 2nd set. I thought it was quite convincing/ close to impressive :)

Thanks. Couldn't watch the match. Hope Fed can keep it going. I'm nervous about Stan though.

But one match at a time. His next match isn't a cakewalk (esp. if it is Monfils).

Federer looking sharp!

This could be a very interesting tournament indeed.

Really? For a first match in the Clay season, they both did quite well in their matches. What aren't you impressed with?

Maybe you're right. It's the start of the clay season after all.

I wasn't impressed with the level of their opponents.

OTOH, Wawrinka looked good in his first set against Monaco. I admit I haven't seen Djokovic play.

All the top dogs looked pretty impressive to me so far. But of course... the (lack of) level of the opponents might well be misleading when it comes to judging the top dogs' forms.

Delighted about Wawrinka ousting Mugnaco in great style. :D

I assuming we are back in strong era again, now that slow HC season is over.

Far from a strong era. Nadal is well past prime, Federer even more so, no Soderling, no Delpo, Ferrer is older. Other Spanish players ar worse than a couple of years ago. If ever, a certain "dominant player" should be able to dominate clay now. Will he do so?
