Yes, but Nadal hasn't looked too sharp on clay in the past year either. He didn't exactly set the clay warm-up events on fire last year did he? .

Everything's relative. He still made 3 finals and won 2 of them. How many did Fed win?

Let's see what happens.

We saw. Not only was projecting Fed in final excessively respectful but as I mentioned before optimistic. So much for hating on the guy. I was being generous. Truth is Fed was lucky to even make final last year.

ETA: it is probable Fed is done on any surface other than the fastest (Dubai, grass, Cincy)

Wow, just logged in to learn of the Thursday Massacre at Roquebrune-Cap-Martin!!

BOTH last year's finalists sent packing in the third round!!

Fed at least made it close as he usually does but what the hell happened to Stan? Only 3 lousy games? Was Grigor goating or Stan just asleep?

I fear this could have a bad outcome for Stan's ranking!!!

Stan played a horrible match, he made about a million errors. Dimitrov was pretty much just solid throughout.

See: Murray VS Dimitrov at Wimbledon last year for a similar idea.

Stan had 41 UEs and 4 winners. Hard to get a grip on Dimi's form from this match. Quite solid I guess. Didn't need to do anything special.

Something could be said about Stan's fitness as his 1st serves were noticeably slower than usual.

Djokovic is not covering the net properly, just stands there. So much room for the opposition to put it past him, almost everytime.

Djokovic is always so cautious whenever he gets to the net. No instincts to just put it away. Nadal might be allergic to volleying, but he always knows what to do when he gets there.

Reckon he will beat nadal tommorow?

It will be a fun match, you know Ferrer always comes to play.

Interestingly, Nadal will likely face back to back, the two players that beat him the last two years.

Ferrer will face the 2008/2010 version of Nadal, because Nadal's movement is off the charts lightning right now.
Nadal has absolutely got his legs back now, plus his groundstrokes are dialed in (32 winners and 12 unforced errors today).
Ferrer is in for the worst day of his life (or that would be 2013 RG final maybe).
