I agree vero. He good at them all, very flexible, just Nadal is the king of clay. He is insanely good at RG too. If Djoko beat Rafa there it's arguably the greatest thing achieved in sport, let alone tennis. Only he can but I agree it takes some effort to topple Nadal in clay BO5. Nole can do it but it would take one big slog and an epic sustained level. Look forward to their classy battles this year. Will be an epic semi at MC, if they meet. Part 1 of their 2015 clay rivalry :) exciting times.
Yes exciting times ahead! Can't wait :)

Bagel at Cincy was against Fed, no? He's had plenty of finals at Cincy. He can win it.

Of course he can win it. And he can very well win RG too. He's the (ever so slight) odds favorite.
He's been a perennial contender at RG since 2011 too, and has at least taken several sets in finals (and virtual final)—never won a set in the finals of Cincy. Also received a virtual bagel at the hands of sir Andrew.

Djokovic wants this!

I am hoping for an epic Saturday, no matter the result. Nadal is the measuring stick...need to know how Djokovic measures up .

Could go either way. Will be an epic if we get it. Hopefully part 1 of their thrilling clay rivalry. I would love them to meet here and then madrid, Rome and then the big one RG. Exciting times. It's like 50/50 but I think Djoko has the slight edge as he one bigger matches and titles so his confidence is higher.

No it is not.

Just compare his results.
Of course it's not. He's just trolling.
To be fair, I wasn't kidding when I said Djoko is super versatile. He can really score big on any surface, in any environment. Hard to tell what his weak surface would be at this point. That's what stands out about hiim. Outdoor hard: he's there. Grass: he's there. Indoor hard: he's there. Clay: he's there.
He may never win as many slams as Fedal but he doesn't have a clear achilles heel either.

Cincy is the fastest HC. How many titles there, in comparison to clay masters?

He has plenty of fast HC titles. More than clay.

Wimbledon is the fastest and maybe the most difficult surface to play on, how many titles there, in comparasion to RG?

Well, Nadal had never made a final at Cincy before 2013, never even been close, so I'm not gonna rule out a Djoko win there for any reason and it's rather a milder challenge than RG.

i'd say grass is his less "stable" surface, at least against Murray.

9 bagels in 3.5 months. Djokovic's goal isn't surpassing Federer in weeks on #1, he wants to break his 19 bagel record :D

Simon doing what he does best: outgrinding his opponent at the finish line. Won't be able to outgrind Rafa though :)

You also have to compare his competition at the two events though over the last 4 years.

This year is starting to look like another 2011 in the making. Only Nadal can stop that from happening. Will he? Suspense.

Yeah I forgot USO too, it's maybe not exactly fast, but atleast medium fast.

He has a slam there, how many in RG?

Lets just cut the crap

On clay he has mostly lost only to Nadal, on fast HCs he has kept on losing to most anybody. Clearly, fast HC is Nole's worst surface. Also clearly, no more USOs for him.

I wouldn't say so. You have to remember that he's reached five finals at the USO, four finals at Cincinnati and has actually won several titles in Dubai, arguably the fastest HC courts on tour.

Also, he was a bit unlucky at the USO, the same way Nadal was unlucky at Wimbledon, since they both had to play peak/prime Federer on his best Slam surfaces, Djokovic five consecutive times at the USO, Nadal three at Wimbledon.

You summed it up well. If Djoko can beat Nadal on clay, and Rafa can't stop him then it's gonna be 2011 but arguably better as he might win all 4 slams as well as most masters titles. All depends on this clay season, exciting times! :)

Nadal is 9th in the race right now, so I don't know how true that is. Federer is 6th right now so he is doing slightly better but still not great.

Based on these displays, Djoker will own Nadal in the clay Masters - Roland Garros will be the big clash, assuming no one else spoils the match up :)

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Murray was competitive with Novak by Wimbledon.

Completely unrelated, but do you speak Spanish? I once heard Nadal say something like "Benga" instead of "vamos" to push himself. I thought it was benga but now that I look it up, I see such a word doesn't exist. Do you, or anyone else, happen to know what this word was that he said?

Watched last 1.5 sets of Nadal/Isner and the entirety of Djokovic/AHM

Djokovic looked pedestrian today... Almost lethargic.

Nadal didn't look all that great either but at least it's expected.
