Federer plays him = 3 tiebreaks...

Isner plays him = loses the only tiebreak they play and breaks to win in the other 2

Well... I didnt see that coming.

I sort of did. I mean Isner has really worked on his return game and KG doesn't have one yet.

I didn't see Verdasco taking his second set total in his last eight meetings with Ferrer. The world is upside down!

Why are these blinking women's matches involving Kuznetsova going on for two and a half hours plus? What happened to the less than 1 hour matches we've come to love from the WTA? Honestly, at this rate Murray is going to be back on court around midnight again! LOL

Whats the use of blocking a slow serve? Lots of players (Federer, Wawrinka today, Verdasco just now) just block serves back, the latter 2 even with their forehands! If they hit through it, they get into the rally. But with this soft bump, you're just handing the upper hand to the opponent. The funny thing is that they often miss these block-returns as well, so I'm wondering what's the point.

Oh I would pay to watch him play at night again:lol: Yesterday was hilarious, he looked as frustrated as ever.

How are you finding these vines? I have no idea how to navigate that website. Times are finally getting ahead of me :(

There are a multitude of fan sites on places like tumblr and twitter that work together to curate every single photo and video moment of their favourite players

So annoying when the guy you're rooting against hits an ace on a hardly earned BP

And now he hits a ball that barely touches the line.. Godddd Verdasco cannot handle things like this

Why are Dasco's shots so unstable? Just hit the freaking ball inside the court, shouldn't be that much of a problem!

Ferrer deservedly gets the break. Verdasco freaking SUCKS

Another UE in the middle of the net. How can that happen? There was no pressure whatsoever from Ferrer

I judge by what I see. Of course I don't watch all of his matches, but he seems too passive these days. Although I just remembered that the last time I watched him (against Simon and Nadal) he was sick.

Congratulations Ferrer. Keep you damn tongue in your mouth, your tennis is already unwatchable as it is. No need to make it worse.

Yeah the Glenfiddich 15 year is good. Just a bit pricey and honestly I like a bit of alcohol bite (which is the only real difference between the 12 and 15 year).

I like whiskey a lot, but I'm not really knowlegeable enough to discern the difference between the different years. I just know that it's pricier so I assumed it had to be better:lol:. I had the Glenlivet 12yr before that and loved that as well, had some pineapple aroma mixed through it.
I rarely drink so once in a while I'll buy an (expensive) bottle, it'll last me months.

So the older a whiskey is, the more the alcoholic taste disappears?

If ONLY Verdasco had Ferrer's mentality.

I know right. I should be content with his victory over Cilic.. but I totally felt he could've taken this one as well. If only he started getting into his game. I felt like he was playing badly in the 3rd set and he was still hanging with Ferrer. So if he only played a bit better I felt he could've won it.

I never quite know what to think of this Agut fellow. He's always there, he's obviously a great player, with good, clean groundstrokes, but no one seems to care. :D

Isn't he the most meh tennis player evar?

Ugh, Glenlivet 12. No offense, but that stuff is swill. Their 15 year is better (although not much). But the Glenlivet 18 is absolutely incredible. Glenfiddich is okay.

The general taste family of a scotch is usually a regional thing. Glenlivet is a Speyside scotch, so it tends to have a lot of the characteristics of other Speyside scotches. Islay scotches have their own characteristics. Highland scotches have their own.

If you like a more "smooth" and not overly complex experience, then Highland scotches are the way to go. If you want a middle-ground between "smoothness" and complexity/bite... then Speyside is the way to go. Although some Speysides have serious bite, Abelour A'bunadh for example (which is amazing, btw).

If you want something which is guaranteed to kick you in the face, you go for Islays. Laphroaig, for example. I swear you could remove limescale deposits using a young version of Laphroaig.

Sorry OP for the off-topic post. I love single-malt scotches, so this got me going.

Thanks for explanation. As I said, I'm not a connoisseur in the slightest, and the woman in the liquor store seemed to know even less about whiskey than me:???:

I only know Abelour of those that you mentioned. I'm just familiar with the famous mainstream names, like Glenlivet, Glenfiddich (I thought this was heralded as the best whiskey, you say it's just "okay"?), Chivas Regal, etc.

By the way, thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a try.

Hahahha "meh" is indeed the best way to describe him. The problem is probably his too complicated name and his nationality. If he was from.. New-Zealand for example, people would all be talking about that talented guy from New-Zealand.
It was also strange how he came onto the tour. He just suddenly was there in the top 40. Nobody saw him coming, but wham, he was there all of a sudden, at 24 years old.

Yes! The prince of tennis is through! Now he has the tough task of beating in a row: Ferrer, Murray, and the Nadal. Hope his body can handle that.

Nadal himself doesn't have it much easier, probably having to beat Dimitrov, Berdych and Nishikori.

That is my experience yes.

In contrast to the other guy, I like Glenlivet 12. It's a good budget scotch. I also like Highland Park 12, Auchentoshan 12, and JW Black. Aberlour 10 is another decent cheap Scotch here. I'm not a huge fan of Laphroaig or Lagavulin. I like a bit of peat, but generally I'm not in the mood for them.

I also don't like spending a huge amount on Scotch as, like I said, the differences are marginal. JW Blue or 18 yr old Scotches are more for like businessmen entertaining clients than they are for drinking at home by yourself.

For bourbon I always go with Knob Creek. And for Rye I go with Bulleit (even though I'm Canadian, Americans make better rye than we do).

If you are budget-minded, Abelour 12 is very good, Balvenie Caribbean Cask (14yr), Balvenie Doublewood (12yr - personal favorite) or Dalwhinnie (15yr). All of those are excellent single-malts as a daily-drinker and won't break the bank. And they are far better than Glenlivet 12 (which is like the Coors of single-malt -- whereas Talisker 10 is the Budweiser).

For bourbons, 1792 Ridgemont Reserve. Also excellent.

IMO, most scotches are good. And here in Canada alcohol costs twice as much as it does in the states, so expensive malts are simply not worth it.

The only truly bad scotch I can remember having is JW Red. Stay away from the stuff. On the other hand, there are tons of bad ryes. And Irish Whiskey is garbage.
