My favourite match up of the day. The evergreen David Ferrer vs Kei Nishikori. Who's your pick?

The winner of this match will be made a strong favourite in the Semis.

I just feel Nishikori is so comfortable out there and could win in 2.

David Ferrer is the Peter Pan of tennis. My theory on David Ferrer is that he is small, and doesnt weigh as much, so his legs dont get the same stress that heavier players get.

My theory is that Ferru is a fit man who does a lot of running as a form of exercise. So his body is used to running a few miles every day.

It always gets to me when commentators recap the Madrid final between Rafa and Kei last year as if Kei was beating Nadal hands down. Or that he would have won had it not been for the injury. BS. It was a set all, and Rafa was up a break before Kei's injury. Or am I mistaken?

I've been looking forward to this one. I saw them play at the O2 last November, thrilling match.

As much as I admire Ferrer, I do like the fact that Nishikori isn't frustrated by "The Gatekeeper" like so many other talented players are.

Ferrer is a better clay court player but in their direct match up, I think clay isn't the best surface for him to take on Nishikori. Kei has a lot of time to hit aggressive shots on clay. Kei to serve for the set.

I thought Kei was up a set and then got injured? I'll have to check that

He was up a set AND break before his body gave up.

Final scoreline of that match: 2-6, 6-4, 3-0 RET. Courtesy of http://www.atpworldtour.com/Players/Head-To-Head.aspx?pId=N552&oId=N409.

Kei took the first set. Rafa took the second. Rafa was up a break in the decider, and then injury struck Kei, at which point Rafa went up another break, thus 3-0, as opposed to 2-0, in the decider.

Kei kept playing after his injury. You obviously didn't watch the match. Kei was up something like 6-2 4-2 and then got injured. Then he lost 7 straight games before retiring.

Stop the Presses! We've got us a psychic over here. Someone who can actually tell people what they were doing at a certain point in the past - when it comes to their own lives. *clap, clap*
