Maybe you just have dementia instead.

Oh! He's a doctor too. Wow, your parents must be so proud. In fact, forget your parents. The Nobel Prize community must be alerted: we have someone here who proves mysticism and science can be reconciled. WhiskeyEE is a psychic and a doctor!

Stop the Presses! We've got us a psychic over here. Someone who can actually tell people what they were doing at a certain point in the past - when it comes to their own lives. *clap, clap*

Look, I like Nadal also, but let's be real, Nadal was outplayed. You could see Nishi was trying to hold on until he couldn't.

Did you see the match?

What can I say. It's easy to spot a dunce.

Has there ever been a player in the history of tennis like Ferrer who gets to as many quarters and semis as he does at big tournaments and loses. I can't believe there has been.

Yeah better to stay grounded here. As much as I favor Nadal vs Berd, I don't think either Nishi or Murray will be a formality in final. Rafa is improving but he's still not at his best and those guys have game.

With the consistency Ferrer produces, and has produced through his career, I can't get how he has 1 masters title. One final in GS too.

He's right though. Nishikori was up a break in the second when he got injured, but kept playing. Those who watched would be expected to remember this. I'm not saying you didn't watch though, easy to forget such stuff.

Nadal, Nishokori fan here. Kei outplayed Nadal in last year's final. Even Tio Toni admitted that the opponent was better.

I very much agree with your overall sentiment here, but Tio Toni probably claimed Rafa's opponent was really better after the RG 08 final as well. That's his modus operandi

j/k, but not really though..

Am I right in thinking Ferrer needs faster surfaces (like Acapulco) to beat Nishikori nowadays? On slow courts his shots don't hurt the quick Japanese, who in turn seizes the initiative and overpowers Ferrer.

I just think Ferrer needs Kei not to be playing well to beat him :?

No, Tio Toni really meant it. I thought he was a bit harsh on Nadal going as far as saying Rafa didn't deserve the title.

I wonder who would do best against Nadal in final. I think Nishikori has the better game than Murray to take on Nadal on clay, at the other hand, when he seems injured, it's for real. Murray a safer bet in that regard.

I may be a Murray fan but I'm realistic, Murray has to play his best ever Clay match to even come close to beating Nishikori.

Kei on this form is devastating. You have to adopt some kind of ultra aggressive strategy to break his game down, that's hard enough for Murray right?

I'm happy to see Kei excel, a part of me wanted him to win the US Open. I fear Murray may live up to the thread dedicated to him, literally.

If we go by how many clay tournaments they have won on the surface, yes Nishi should be better.

Haha, I know, I know. As I said, I agree. In this case it was well justified.

Just poking fun at his fun way of building Rafa's self-esteem.

Ferrer getting grossly outclassed by Nishikori's superb ball striking as expected.

Now Nishikori has won 6 out of 7 matches against weak era #3 since he hired Chang.
