Who will win?

Ferrer getting grossly outclassed by Nishikori's superb ball striking as expected.

Now Nishikori has won 6 out of 7 matches against weak era #3 since he hired Chang.

And people claiming Ferrer would be sure to win slams in other era! As if 80's and 90's player had no game. He's getting beat by a retired Michael Chang.

i have said it before. nishikori is gonna win this tournament!
(at least i think it is very very possible ;) )

Kei is very good .. most impressive of all in Madrid..let him ..he was winninglast year against Rafawhenhe gotinjured, remember??Let him win it this year!

Got to admire Ferrer. He never gives in. Always believes he can win -

Total competitor !

What a Little Beast he is.

C'mon Ferrer - This aint over yet !

I get that people respect this Ferrer guy I don't get how anyone can like watching him play.

He brings a good game against Nadal, and sometimes against Murray. At other times he's usually unwatchable. Tonight I'm watching for Nishi's brilliance, not Ferrer's.

The worst is when he is playing Simon. My god its like they are playing on molasses no matter what the surface.

His never give up attitude alone makes him one of the most watchable players on tour.. his game is great to watch, not that long ago ferrer made nish look silly
His running around in the quarters and semis of any decent size tournament and getting trounced is looking silly.

Congrats to Nishikori,BLNT Ferrer , Nishikori played the best of all players out there so far, Next up Murray.

Cheers
3Fees :)

It would be some kind of justice if Nishi beats Nadal in final this year, nothing against Nadal.

Ya know it! Kei was beating Rafa emphatically last years final before he got that nasty injury.. looked a bit like against Ferrer today. Always in control.

Some harsh comments on Ferrer since he's getting routinely trounced by Nishikori. But we shouldn't forget Nishi is now in his prime, and Ferrer is 30+. I think we all tend to forget who old Ferrer is. Sometimes he gives the impression he could play on eternally, but there has been some substancial decline in his game since halfway 2013.

Disagree he seems to be at the same level he is every year. He makes the quarters and semis and gets blitzed.

Oh yeah he can be a threat to anybody playing like this. My only reservation is at RG. Still not sure he can bring it on clay in best of 5.

I doubt he can bring it for a whole tournament. But he might beat some good players before the final, like at US Open. People will be wary of him in the draw.

Around 2012 he was making quarters at least at all slams, losing only to Big Four players. Since 2013 he's been losing to other top 10 players (Delpo, Berdych, Gasquet) who he used to own, later he even started losing or struggling against lesser players before quarters.
