Djokovic to win in 2 easy sets, in a flurry of Murray UEs, missed 1st serves, panzy 2nd serves and lots and lots of swearing! :D

I daresay Murray's outbursts will be way more entertaining than the rallies themselves.

Djokovic in finals is like a terminator but Murray has done it before and has the potential to do it again. Hoping for a Murray win, its been a great season for both of them tho, top 2 players in the world at the last Masters of the season is apt.

Djokovic in 3.

Man are people still trying to push the whole boring pong thing when it comes to this match up? You do realise that tennis has been two guys just trying to beat each other from the baseline and playing more or less the same way for years now? Murray and Djokovic have solid defensive skills so normally it just goes on for a little longer.

Not sure ill even watch this match just to be polite since I support Andy. Instead of watching a quite boring match I rather play myself here outside in the sun. I don't think andy is focused enough to win it. Game wise he can win, but mentality not there i would think.
Lets hope for some obnoxious attitude from these two gentlemen to spice up the match a bit.

Do we need a thread for this? The only person that could have stopped Djokovic was compromised by yesterday's schedule.
As soon as Murray falls behind tomorrow, all his physical woes will be on display.
You won't see any similarity with the player who just beat Goffin, Gasquet and Ferrer.

All the bravado that has been on display this week, will simply evaporate. Poof!

Djokovic in 3. It won't be easy. Murray will give great challenge with fair chance to win.

Amazed you think Nole takes 3. The Stan warmup has Nole in top form now. Murray has been good this week, but he'll have to play his best match to have a chance at this.

I'm accounting for a slow start and slight 2nd set dip by Djokovic - similar to Miami final

That doesn't mean this matchup is more interesting than watching the paint dry.

Enjoy!

(j/k, no sane person in their right mind can enjoy this match)
you're right, same people were waiting for rafa in the finals and they're still waiting, lol.

too bad rafa will be so bored to death on his flight to london rather than actually playing in the final. but like gary said, he threw the match!!!

This will be great just to see if Murray has enough game to make a move next year. A good Murray Nole match is epic. Murray mailing it in/feeling sorry for himself; that's boring.

Nole versus Berdy yesterday. That was like watching paint dry.

Isn't that the truth? It is such a shame that if Federer can't stop Djokovic, nobody can. They all just fold against him. Getting bageled in deciding set.

That's special isn't it? What do you expect from Stan though? He isn't a Nadal type player when it comes to fighting spirit. You have to hand it to Djokovic though, no matter what happens, he keeps on keeping on and knows his consistency will win the day 9 times out of 10.

What were the circumstances when Murray upset Djokovic at Canada earlier in the year? How did that happen? I didn't get a chance to see any of the tournament back then.

Yep. It's all about consistent tennis now.:(

Murray won the first, lost the second, and wobbled through the third. I think Djokovic had a couple of close matches prior to the final. Actually, Gulbis had match point in his first or second match.

Where's the guy who thinks Murrovic is Simon-Monfils on steroids? :p

Here I am. I said it.

This time, I doubt we'll see a Murrovic classic - the difference in their current levels is way too big. 6-2, 6-3 Djokovic, or something along those lines.
I start to think that it will be advantageous to be seeded in the same group with Djokovic at the WTF. Everyone else is beatable, and you are guaranteed not to face Djokovic in the semis.

Going with Djokovic in 2 easy sets. But like others, I won't be watching this. I'll only watch the highlights.

It's much more efficient timewise to see 5 minutes of repetitive long rallies and then be shown the final score -- than to watch two hours of rallies that look like a repeating GIF -- to see the same final score.

Djokovic is looking good. Losing a set against Stanimal woke him up and helped him to switch gears. Of course Murray can beat him, but Andy has to play aggressive and needs a good 1st serve percentage.

I think Nole wins in 3. 6-4 3-6 6-2. :)

Semi-related question: does anyone know what the longest wining streak is on indoor courts? I know Novak has a 36 match win-streak going right now, who's he trying to catch?

Djokoray has been the story of this year on hard court. Paris is the 8th tier 1 played on the surface and Djoko/Murray have duked it out 6 times out of the 8 (AO, IW, Miami, Canada, Shanghai and now Paris. The only 2 missing are Cincy and USO). It's been THE primary hard court rivalry this season (followed by Djokerer: 4 encounters: Dubai, IW, Cincy and USO).
Can Murray snatch another 1000 victory against the master (rivalry has been pretty one-sided so far)?
Pro: Djoko's got to be a tad tired after his extraordinary season (and he looks it).
Con: Djoko is a better indoor player than Murray
Note that Fed and Murray are the only 2 players who've been able to beat Djoko in tier 1 on hard this season, so a Murrovic or Fedovic final is the best we could hope for in terms of competitiveness.
Regardless of final outcome, Djoko hasn't ceased to amaze. 14th consecutive final is just mindboggling. He's trying for some heavyweight record breaking with this final too: most master titles won in a season (6) and most tier 1 events won in a season (9). One got to be impressed that he is even in a position to do so.
Will he crack under the pressure? Answer tomorrow.

Not quite true, is it? Murray stopped him in Montreal, so its not beyond the bounds of possibility for him to do it again so long as he plays his best game!
