Can't blame Ferrer for his reaction tbh. He had made a good pass on a BP against Isner. Those don't come along often. Combine that with losing the 2nd set the way he did. I can understand it unless what he said was really vulgar.
Ferrer is a fine sportsman, just interesting to see the psychology play out.

Isner saying his stomach is in knots right now.

Bye. Go get in shape and try to become athletic John.

I know you're young, but karma is truly a beeyotch. You might consider toning down the ridiculing of physical ailments. There might be a situation that comes along in your life where you or someone you care about has physical ailments -- and you receive either dismissal or derision as a response. But like most young folks... you'll probably ignore it until it hits you. Best of luck when that happens.

The sad part is that I don't think romeo is particularly young at all.

This has nothing to do with being in shape. There's nothing a person can do about ailments and what not, but they can make an effort to be in shape. I understand what you're saying though. You're reading what I'm saying wrong. He's not in shape is what I'm implying sir.

Ferrer is the ultimate nightmare if you're injured or dead tired. You're having a hard time time moving, and then there's this hyper energetic guy accross the net jumping up and down and chasing every single ball

True. Ferrer a tough opponent...few u.e's. Isner had the momentum after that long third set hold on his first service game. Too bad for Isner. He was fighting hard.

Dont you like Berdy game? We disagree about that one :D
Not at all. Particularly the choking and whining. The Murray Auz Open semi was classic. Berdy had just hired one of Murray's coaches away from him. Berdy giving Murray evil eyes the whole first set (and Murray might have been saying something to former coach). Wins first set and at change of ends mutters something under breath that Murray takes exception too. Murray then bagels Berdy and sends him packing in 4. Classic Berd flapper maneoveur and then the outfits:

Ive seen him play several times and he has always been a class act there. And I don't mind HM, Im half scandinavian and think its pretty cool HM making more affordable outfits ;)

Excuse me. Isner is in incredible shape and is probably in the 99th percentile in terms of fitness relative to the population of the entire planet. I'm not reading what you are saying wrong at all. A person who faces an incredible physical challenge, fights hard to overcome it, and then ultimately succumbs physically to that challenge. "Bye" and "Get in shape" is your response to that. It's purely disrespectful.

So I'm just saying don't be surprised when you face challenges, succumb physically to those challenges, and then a person looks at you and says... "Should have been in better shape, buddy. Bye." For your sake, I truly hope that situation is one that doesn't matter in life... and not a situation where you're in a hospital bed... or on an operating table.

GSM Ferrer. Love him, not the most exciting player, but clear love for the game and giving 100% every match.. incredible. Nightmare for John

this match is the prime reason why Isner will likely never break through beyond a crappy Atlanta or Winston-Salem tournament or anything more than a 500.

He is wildly inconsistent and his conditioning is way, way below the levels of the elite. It's truly astonishing how he was forced into horrific positions by a player like Ferrer, whom I respect wholly but should not have been able to do that to a power player like Isner.

He's reached and is beyond his peak now. Off into the sunset, soon, Izzy.

Isner needs to manage his hydration, etc. Likely the issue with the cramps. Rough for Isner given his size, but it is a physical condition/management issue.

I don't succumb to pain I'm not a sissy like some "athletes" I know of.

I wouldnt really blame Isner for not being the most athletic guy on the court, but what I hate is his body language. He seems like the most hopeless guy in the world when he's behind in a match
