If Djokovic loses this, it would be the worst possible start to his USO campaign. Playing all matches at the first Masters tuneup, only to not even win it, giving Murray belief in the process.
This comment is so dumb it makes little children cry

Tennis has been saved for the 4th time this year.

It's also sort of fitting that, after Karlovic, Djokovic's other 3 losses this year have been to Murray, Federer and Wawrinka, 3 of the top 4 players, at least until Nishikori entered the top 4 this week.

Great win by Murray, as I said before it was only a matter of time. Great quality match, I'd say Djokovic wasn't at his best but Murray was supreme regardless. Great win for his confidence before the U.S. Open.

Congratulations to Murray for ending his losing streak against Djokovic 6-4 4-6 6-3! (From a Djoko fan, btw) Now things will get interesting come Cincinnati, as we see (obviously) whether Djokovic can finally win Cincinnati and who will be the No. 2 seed come the USO between Murray and Federer. Should be very interesting!

Well, this pretty much puts Murray as the no 2 seed for the US Open unless he loses early in Cincinnati (QF or earlier) and Federer wins.

I still dont think this matchup is boring. I know alot of people joke about it and earlia in the year it was a bit one sided with several matches but when these two are both playing well, the rallies are great. Its fast paced, brutal tennis and i love it. Hopefully this result keeps them seperated for the US Open on either sides of the draw.

In 2013, the week Nadal went #2, he won Cincy. In 2014, the week Federer went #2, he won Shanghai, In 2015, the week Murray went #2, he won Montreal. How I remember this I'll never know...

Finally!!!!!

What a match.. Murray so strong mentally in the third set. Why he didn't play like that in the third and fourth set of the AO 15 final :(

Anyway, congratulations Andy :)

Murray to win USO over mentally weak Novak ;)

All in all though what a great match I hardly moved from the TV over those three hours and it's not often you can say that for one of their matches lately.

Being completely neutral, this win is very good for tennis. Who would want to watch a US open with murray and djokovic in final if murray had lost again today?.. it would be nothing but pointless. At least now we have some solid foundation for hope for the match up in future.

No Cincy or USO for Djok.

Actually, I would argue that this Montreal loss will actually help Djokovic, because every time he's won Montreal, he's either lost early in Cincy or lost badly in the final due to perhaps pressure from winning Canada the week prior. Now Djoko will no longer have that pressure, both from the Masters 1000 standpoint and from the continuous win streak against Murray. Djokovic will have less pressure knowing he won't have had won the previous 5 Masters titles.

This is what Federer kept telling himself after failing to beat Nadal at the FO. It was good because it made him win the USO.. The bolded part was too clever for me to draw a parallel with, however.

Maybe Novak should play in Cincy to work-out that elbow problem. It looked like he was really, really hurting. He kept grabbing at it, so I know it hurt him. Really.
