I'm legit confused because Halep is getting all the medical attention but looks fine during the points. Especially this last one. Starting to remind me of Murray playing possum.

Anyone else seeing how passively Bencic is hitting? I don't think this is choking to be honest. Maybe it's a form of choking but she's not necessarily hitting balls way long and making errors. She's just suddenly taking all pace and aggression off her shots and rallying like it's a Saturday morning at the local park.

Okay...when Simona is running to her forehand side she looks hampered. But I still have no clue. Tiebreaker time now. lol...

I should clarify. That was a tongue in cheek statement. I don't think Halep literally WANTS to lose this, especially since it's for the title, but I do believe she was fully expecting to be put out of her misery and she was shaking her head that she's still in it. At least that's what I saw...

Bencic is a horrible frontrunner from the 2 matches I've seen. But they were against a No.1 and No.3 player.

Has she had this mental trouble in prior matches?

I get what Bencic is complaining about and I sort of agree, but it's her own damn fault she was soooo passive. It's not like Halep got all refreshed after that injury timeout. She could barely move. All Bencic had to do was be a bit more intense and aggressive and take the set and the match by the ears. That's on her.

Seems like she should have been sitting and cooling down also during those MTOs rather than pacing in the hot court.

OK, side bets everyone. If Halep gets 2 games behind, how many say she calls another timeout??

As long as it riles her up enough for the third, I'm alright with her being pissed :)

It sounds like Halep left the court for a bit before the start. At least I think that's what Chris Fowler just said. Anyway... Bencic goes up a break to start the set.
