how do you know Nadal is going to make it to the final at all ??
This is the toughest POSSIBLE draw.
It doesn't mean it will happen. The rationale here is that if Nadal was good enough to reach final, he would be most difficult to beat at that stage (even more than in quarter), hence this being the toughest draw that can be imagined.

Tomorrow's draw

JK, I think he will win.

I hope Fed,laMonf,Stanimal and Muzza go deep.
But Rafa really looks out of sorts to me;he looks cooked after 2 sets in a 1 week tourny,so BO5 for 2 might prove too much.
Djoker is favourite then Muzza,(he has a great shot I think)hard to say about the rest...maybe later.

In 2014, Nadal lost to Ferrer in straight sets at Monte Carlo,
and Nadal lost to Almagro at Barcelona,
and Nadal lost to Djokovic at Rome,
and Nadal was about to lose to Nishikori until Nishikori got injured.
Oh, and Nadal only dropped TWO sets at Roland Garros (and his draw included Ferrer, Murray and Djokovic, the hardest draw you can get!).

While this year on clay Nadal put on a FOREHAND EXHIBITION DELUXE vs Berdych that rivals anything he's ever done in his decade of clay domination.
And Nadal had ZERO BASELINE UNFORCED ERRORS in the Isner match, the first time in his career that he's played mistake-free form the baseline.
So I'm giving folks all the warning signs here that you are completely misreading Nadal and are in for the shock of your lives as Nadal CRUISES through Roland Garros again.

Of course there have been flashes of brilliance, but he fell flat against Murray and Wawrinka who don't beat Nadal very often at all,let-alone clay.

Just saw on twitter. Raonic has withdrawn. It's on his twitter page. Nadal will move up to number 6 and Stan becomes the 8th seed.

Benneteau also withdrew. Waiting to here from Simon.

Raonic just withdrew and he is now focusing on the rehab and aim to return for Queens and Wimbledon. Assuming he has recovered from the surgery next week since it has been two weeks and he would have no training and is not in shape to play at Roland Garros. I think it is the most physically demanding tournament of the year. He can have a nice and long training leading up to Wimbledon.

Cuevas now practising with Nadal LOL, he just wants to hang with Federer and Nadal lol.

get well soon raonic
6th seed for nadal

the chance is bigger he will meet djokovic or federer in the QF

I think

Federer (2) - Ferrer (7)
Murray (3) - Kei (5)
Djokovic (1) - Nadal (6)
Berdych (4) - Wawrinka (8 )

Not too sure about that. Federer seems to get all the in-form players in his half while Djokovic gets his pigeons

Yeah, had forgotten about that. Fed will have a couple of players who will trouble him in his quarter...probably Monfils ? maybe even Nishi ? If Nadal is drawn to meet Fed in the quarters, and then Fed goes out to one of these who will play Nadal instead, it will backfire on the draw makers ;-)

Agreed. Probably Monfils or Tsonga in R4, Kyrgios in R3, Nadal in QF

Not sure of Tsonga's form though. But it is guaranteed that Monfils or Tsonga will show up at their best against Fed if they are drawn to meet him in early rounds. Against the other players, I am not so sure.

If that happens, I will truly believe that the draws are random and aren't rigged.

But I don't think that will happen. Too much money and business at stake.

exactly.. we have seen too much proof of the draw#s not being random in the last 10 years.. starting with joker being in feds semis at the every grand slam..
