A tool every Frenchman should have on his person at all times!

I have a feeling he's going to beat Federer as well should they meet. Huge surface advantage for Wawrinka here.

I would agree if it wasn't for Stan's (frankly lame) performance against Federer in Rome a couple weeks ago. It wasn't even like Stan was in bad form that tournament, he had just finished a comprehensive win over Nadal and still got crushed by Federer, playing totally lackluster.

Mahut - "I surrender my serve"

Simon - "You cannot our surrender me"

Mahut - "I beg to differ Monsieur"

Simon - "Aha I am most excellent at surrendering"

Mahut - "I surrender with much more etiquette"

Simon - "Non, I am chief surrenderrer"

Mahut - "I a king of chief surrenderer"

Simon - "I surrender to your superiority at surrendering"

Question to #Federer : "Are you scheduled to play Queens or Halle before Wimbledon?".. Where have these people been? #RG15

Funny guy.

I don't think Federer would be overly concerned about having to play Wawrinka (should he make it that far).

Both of Wawrinka's wins over Federer have come on clay though. I think when Stan is playing well, he can overpower Federer on this surface because he can penetrate the court more easily with his greater power. I think if Wawrinka maintains his current form it could be a great match.

You should not just assume Federer will win against big hitters nowadays. Monfils and Wawrinka will pose legitimate threat. However, Federer seems to be in decent form, so I suppose he should be able to beat them, but the question is how many sets he will take in doing that. If he plays a long 5 setter and beats Monfils, I would favor Wawrinka's chances.

"If" being the key word here. The problem with Stan is you never know which version of him will come out to play.

Love seeing Mahut play well on clay. When was the last time a serve and volleyer made it this far? Henman in the semi's in 04?

Well it doesn't look too good for Mahut now, although it has been a break fest lately so who knows....I'm pulling for another Mahut 70-68 set with him coming out on top this time!

I give him somewhat of a chance yeah, certainly more than the odds-makers (1.07 Berdych, 8,5 Paire). I think he takes at least a set and could be more.
Hmm - Berdych storming out ahead. I could be very wrong on the above - he's already returning 20 times your money back ;-).
