From 15-40 down, Paire makes a
- lob winner of a Berdych BH almost skidding on the backline.
- a dropshot winner out of the blue of a decent Berdych return
- an ace
- a CC forehand passing shot winner.

Good stuff.

Lol Paire is dropshotting Berdych to death.
And did you see the way Paire just walked to his chair after the last ball? Berdych thought it was in. Bernandes came down, confirmed it being out and Berdych got furious on Bernandes

Though he did fell short of saying 'I'll make sure you never umpire me again!'

I didn't see that. TV switched to Tsonga & Andujar entrance.

I worry for Tsonga
Andujar is tough
would have prefered Kohlschreiber, the german is very talented but always go down to top 10 players (in Tsonga case former top 10)

Paire has that lackadaisical indifference about him - just like the Fog. When it works, it's beautiful, when it doesn't, it looks incredibly lazy and somewhat stupid.

TB

Netcord helps Paire win the 2nd. Allez!
Poor TB from both. Hardly a first serve in, a DF from each and Paire with two return errors on SP on two 2nd serves...
but he got the job done somehow and he deserved this set imo.

Was on fire for most of the 2nd.

weird match here..I expect Berdych to straighten out and take the next two comfortably, but this could be a squirrely 5 setter

Paire is one of the worst players in the world.

How much did you bet, Berdych @1.09?

On what day/s are the 4th round matches, and when is the QF. Are the QF's on one day or two ?

R16:
31/5 bottom half men's/women's and 1/6 top half men's/women's (Sunday, Monday)

QF - 1 match per gender on Chatrier and Lenglen, being played simultaneously (totally hate this about the French Open):
2/6 bottom half men's/women's - Tues
3/6 top half men's/women's - Wed

Has something happened to Monf adter the 3rd set. i missed a bit of the match and now he's down 1-4 ????

It's 1-2 in the 3rd set n the Tsonga match. on serve, tsonga serving.

edit : monfils breaks and holds. 3-4. still down one break. PC to serve.

Tsonga ahead 7-6, 6-4, third about to being. Haven't been watching though

Solid game from both all-around.
Andujar is very persistent, giving Jo a run for his money. Though, Jo is definitely the dominant one. (Despite not playing at 100%, taking a bit easy, I reckon.)
Jo is rather sloppy around the net today. His receiving game is pretty impressive though. Very aggressive. I definitely see him challenging Berdych tomorrow.
Andujar is showing shades of the Bird and Ferrer today, so he is probably just the right person to warm him up for Berdych...

Looks like it's gonna be straight(albeit, close) sets for Tsonga.

I reluctantly picked against Monfils. Very happy he proved me wrong. He was on the ropes. Cuevas should have closed out that 4th set.

He's the king of almost. He will either almost make the final or almost make the semifinal. However, I don't think he'll almost win the tournament.

haha, yeah, that is what has happened until now.
still, some lone soul might still believe in it somehow, otherwise the feeling I get is the same as getting a spoiler before watching a movie.:)

How the heck did Cuevas not close out that match from being up 2 sets and a double break? Now, that's SOME choke!

That last set and a half from Monfils is the most entertaining tennis of this French Open so far (although if I had to choose between re-watching Monfils' performance and re-watching Nadal's first 2 matches, I'd re-watch Nadal's first 2 matches because the aura Nadal exudes on this court is surreal and inspiring).
