I apologise for my method of communication; I tend to write things in a way that asks the reader to make a lot of assumptions rather than spelling things out more clearly.

What I mean is that there is a big difference between losing and winning the YEC final in terms of what it means for the legacy of Djokovic's season.

Yeah, the moment of the year on reflection was actually Vinci halting the Grand Slam run of Rena, followed by Muguruza leaving the Wimbledon loser interview with a hop in her step. Oh, and can't forget the standing ovation Nole received at RG.

Seeing as the rest of my picks are perfectly rational, it can only follow that you mean Murray for best backhand would have been the more rational choice. But apparently unlike you, I tend to find Djokovic's backhand highly impressive and slightly edging out Murray's due to its superb consistency.
 
For the women:
Moment of the year: Vinci beats Serena (boring I know) or Pennetta randomly announces her retirement after winning the USO then stupidly stays on tour barely winning a match.

Most improved player: Muguruza/Bacsinszky/Bencic

Match of the year: Muguruza v Kvitova WTA finals. Bencic v Serena Rogers Cup

Worst sportsmanship: Lin Zhu. Remember this drama against Schiavone at Indian Wells?

Best sportsmanship: Vinci at the USO, apologizing to the crowd after knocking Serena out was cute

Biggest letdown player: Petkovic for sure. Now saying she's lost interest in the sport and unsure if she wants to play? Weak

Most exciting masters: Gonna make this Premier Mandatory and say Indian Wells

Posts like this remind people why ur the YE # 1 TTW poaster. Made both Ultron and Dark Lord into a thing by force of will. Well done. As for the saving tennis thing, can you imagine how stupid this place would be if Djoker won that match? My god, I'm a Djoker fan and I cringe to imagine the stupidity from every fan base that we'd have seen. Hard to even tell which of the 3 fan bases would have handled it worse.
