In case you didn't know: Nas is the greatest rapper (poet) of all time.

But how good is his forehand slice?

Can't say he is the GOAT poet, but definitely the GOAT rapper

He rhymed a one syllable word 3 times? Its garbage. Listen to the good stuff like krs1, tribe, de la and other people who can rhyme a word with more than 5 letters.

Still think its very simple compared to krsone and dr octagon (kool keith). Studio gangsters dont do it for me anymore
While the content of his inner-city narratives might not be for everyone, he is still highly appreciable for his
experienced vocal delivery well beyond the years of the 20 year old he was when Illmatic was released. No debut from a hip-hop artist has been bigger.

Exactly the kind of garbage a genuine lover of the sport of tennis could do WITHOUT.

*barf*

@MichaelNadal : I prefer Madonna for this matter, indeed. ;)
Why is it garbage? Because it's rap? Although tbqh I wouldn't be surprised if you looked down upon rap music and hip hop in general as not real music. Hmmm at the whole part about genuine lovers of sport could do without, makes it seem like anyone who enjoyed it isn't a true tennis fan, but whatever.

I look down on rap. They can't play an instrument. They brag about immature exploits that are equivalent to Humpy Dumpty rhymes (no pun intended). Hip Hop is crap IMO too. I can rhyme, I can write poetry. It's for those with lower IQs to relate to. They have no talent, maybe other than rhythm & ability to boast about how impressive they are. I have never witnessed an attorney, physician, or CEO jamming to JayZ, but plenty of losers (no offense medication entrepreneurs), believing Eminem is deep.

Best rap:

Oh I'm more than peechy keen, I'm Ozzie & Harriet. "Elitist derogatory 7 letter noun?" I sure am. I 'm glad you don't get into "a race related discussion," because I've fought in intense combat along side blacks; who respect my views & would give their lives for mine. Simple, I don't like rap...therefore I'm racist.

Never said not liking rap music makes you racist, but your whole speech says all I need to know about you and not to mention the word "blacks" and also playing the whole I have black friends card but okay.

I did not say they were friends; they fought with me in combat...combat! There's your "card." Are you saying "black" is now offensive. Did you grow up in the inner city? Please tell me what you think you know about me. Did you fight in Fallujah, with "African-Americans?" Does that give me freedom to be a racist? Believe what you want to believe...I don't respect RAP!

Not black, but but saying blacks instead of black people. We could do this forever so I will leave it.

If you don't want to do it forever, why did you respond to my post? I know I sound like an insensitive AZZ, who appears to look down on minorities, but I don't give a shat what anybody thinks, other than the men I deployed with; they know who I am; unlike some sensitive, idealistic young website forum member who insinuated that I'm less than scrupulous from a few posts regarding apparently ethnic music.

I love Queensbridge's finest and was definitely on team Nas for the Nas vs JayZ thing, but its like hes determined to break his own personal record for how many times can you rhyme clicquot with Rio.

I'll see your Nas and raise you a Bizzy Bone in this hip hop open.

Don't get me wrong, Nas is a great lyricist, but he is no KRS, no Killah Priest or Cannibus.

Nas is better than KRS imo . Nas wrote Illimatic at 18. Pure genius

Cannibus is super dope but he lost all credibility after that rap battle against Dizaster plus LL Cool J killed him in that Beef

The fact that you thought LL won that lyrically kind of kills your credibility. There's enough said about this already, you just need to check the amount of air time 2nd Rd KO got. The outcome was decided not on lyrical terms.

Ok fair enough lyrically Cannibus won but overall he lost.

Cannibus took massive L in that battle against Dizaster too.

"I got more clothes than Muhammad Ali and I dress officiously. I got bodyguards, I got 2 big dogs..."

(the last verse was stupid).

Rap has been downhill since.
