Such questions should be asked few months after the classic we just witnessed, when people calm down and euphoria decreases. The first reaction is always "this is the best match I've ever seen". Stan beats them both imo, his level was higher and he closed it in four against a better opponent.

Sinner can do damage with far higher power than peak nole. Nole is player of older era. He had insane defense. But sometimes you need more power to bully a bully on slow courts.

2015 Wawrinka vs 2025 Sinner (tanking): Wawrinka in four sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-5
2015 Wawrinka vs 2025 Sinner (going all out): Sinner in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3, 6-0

Alcaraz is a RG champion times 2, so far. Sinner is a very good player, who's trying to be a RG champion. Wawrinka caught lightning in the bottle 3 times.

That version of Wawrinka, I would favor him over this year's Alcaraz. Overall, he would be a losing matchup vs Alcaraz imo.

He would definitely have a much easier time against Sinner.

Here is the objective fact regarding era strength:
2024-present >> 2008-2013 > 2004-2007 > 2014-2016 > 2017-2019 >> 2020-2023

Alcaraz’s variety would trouble Stan in a similar fashion that Fed’s variety troubled him(away from clay). Toss in Alcaraz’s stellar movement and you get Alcaraz winning most matches. However, a heavy puncher like Stan steals a few matches.

Alcaraz wins HTH 7-3

This is a true heavyweight fight between two massive sluggers. Sinner’s serve + 1 would give him the advantage over Stan. Sinner ran his streak to 61 straight service holds at RG; 5 shy of 2012 Nadal’s record. This kind of slugfest would be a barnburner. IIRC, Sinner slammed 10 FH shots at 100+ mph in his match vs Alcaraz. Sinner also has a stellar BH and is able to go from defense to offense with 1 cannon shot hit deep to his opponent’s corner. But Stan would draw a little more blood from Sinner than he would against Alcaraz.

I will take Sinner 6-4 over Stan.

Wawrinka wins in 4 sets vs both Alcaraz and Sinner. Delpo of RG 09 was in similar form as Wawa of RG 15, but y'all just want to see the result and forget how good a BH delpo had in 09, and how zoned in he was in RG 09 - didn't let fed variety affect him much.
