I will add a poll when we get closer to the start date to ensure more accuracy in the options (ie. in case players withdraw or someone like Kerber wins in Canada this week and is a better option than someone like Safarova).

Kerber/Bencic R1, Caroline/Vika R2 assuming Vika gets by a qualifier. Caro has just been absolutely snakebit this year with draws.

Projected R16 @CincyTennis:

Serena-Errani
Ana-CSN
Petra-Svitolina
Lucie-Kerber
Woz-Muguruza
Petko-Halep
Pliskova-Timea
Radwanska-Sharapova

It seems Makarova pulled out of the tournament. Bacsinszky, Radwanska, Svitolina and Petkovic move up a position and Sara Errani will get the #16 seed.

Draw is finalized. Petko/Goerges, K. Bondarenko/Genie, Giorgi/McHale are some interesting 1st rounders.

Just an FYI Tc isn't allowed to show any women's matches from this event as punishment for covering DC which defected from uso series.

I voted for other bc I'm going for vika! Hope she can get some momentum going into the us open.

I'd actually like that too! Her draw isn't as daunting this time around too. She's got Wozniacki in the 2nd round, who is beatable, then Muguruza in the 3rd round and Halep in the QF's, the player out of the top she could likely handle the best. It's a tough road any way you slice it I guess, but she's certainly capable of it.

Not like anyone is likely interested but here are the qualifiers:

Timea Babos (HUN)
Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (SVK)
Ana Konjuh (CRO)
Julia Goerges (GER)
Kateryna Bondarenko (UKR)
Casey Dellacqua (AUS)
Yulia Putintseva (KAZ)
Lauren Davis (USA)
Yaroslava Shvedova (KAZ)
Lucie Hradecka (CZE)
Christina McHale (USA)
Mona Barthel (GER)

Thanks for listing !! Good to see Lauren Davis make it

I like JJ. I like the drama she brings to the court coupled with her obvious sense of humour.

Yea me too but i bet she hard to deal with. Just listening to the chang over u get a sense
that she is the very definition of "High Maintenance"

I think she score high on the crazy hot matrix :)

AHh Diyas lost 67(8) 46 Venus let her come back from 51
in second set. Diyas has a few game points for 5 all but
couldn't get it done. So venus vs Ivanovic for second rd

Muguruza loses the 1st set 4-6 to qualifier Shvedova. Hopefully she's not suffering from the same post-Wimbledon blues that Bouchard did...

I wish i could get courts 9 and 7. Some interesting rain stoppages there. Strycova/Lepchenko at the beginning of a 3rd set tiebreak. Sam down 4-5 in the third vs Babos. Come on Sam!

You mean, #Stosur, the one who claims she will stop #Serena at the USOpen, lost in the 1st round of Cincinatti?

Not the least bit shocked in this result. Truth told, #Stosur will be lucky to make it out of the 2nd round of the USOpen. She's got quite a masculine ego.

#GI

I feel somewhat responsible. I made a very subpar gazpacho today. Garbine had a sad look of her face during that match, as if she knew about the abomination in my refrigerator :(

Muguruza doesn't win any points in the tiebreak as she loses 4-6 6-7(0).

Stosur was up a break in the 3rd vs. Babos, loses 6-7(6) 6-4 5-7.

I'm not one of those people who likes whining about the WTA, but sometimes it's just so ridiculous.
