Wanted some opinions on the 2015 Wilson Blade 98 18x20 versus the 16x19. I know the string patterns are different, but I wanted to see if anyone has played one and switched to the other and their reasons why. I am currently leaning on the 18x20, but wanted to see anyone's insights about the 16x19.

The Blade 18x20 feels a little head heavier than the 16x19, but the 16x19 has more power than the 18x20. The 2014 Blade 18x20 has more power than the current one, and responds better to mods. The 18x20 is more stable than the 16x19.

You have to try both:
They are different racquets don't let paint and racquet mold fool you.
16x19 is lighter stiffer and less plow less stable more maneuverable
18x20 is softer heavier more plow slightly less maneuverable and has better stability. Can be played stock it's that good.

I felt the most important thing was to string low 50's else they both felt like using a frying pan. Personally didn't notice much difference in power between the 2, the 16x19 had a tad more spin but was by no means a spin monster. Both good solid frame.

In my experience the difference in plow was the opposite of dgoran above - but i think that exemplifies the Wilson QC issue. Some will be one way and some the other. Demo'ing is fine but will you know the specs of your demo, and will you get the same in your purchase? Do what you can to know the demo specs, especially if you like the results, and try to match your purchase closely to those specs.

I currently play the 16x19 and have experience with the 18x20. I found both to have a very nice feel and good stability. The 18 main has a noticeably lower launch angle and more control/precision. The 16 main offers more power and spin and has less of a power drop off outside the sweetspot. I find it to be a more forgiving and easier to play overall for my style which is more baseline, defensive and power oriented. Both are great racquets and I think the decision between the 2 comes down to style of play.

Sounds great. I think the 18x20 blade will be my choice. I've been using 16x19 and 18x20 on and off for the past year and a half and figure 18x20 is the best bet for my style of play.
Heavy baseliner, sometimes serve and volley, come to the net to finish the point when I get a good shot. Baseline shots are probably my strongest aspect of the game along with first serve and heavy kicker second serves.
