Mugu took the first 7:5, both are very nervous through out the set, even more so on Mugu, frankly I don't understand why? it's not like they have never been to the big tournys, Mugu already in the slam final. How much a big deal here for the premiere mandatory title?!

set 1 stats, pretty even, Mugu plays the big points better

I see Sam Sumyk's tongue is out! He must be on cloud 9 now, not only he is employed, also his new client is winning a lot matches.

She's now 2 points away from World number 3 and overtaking Sharapova!
She also jumps to 2nd place in the Race to Singapore! (Serena withdrawn).
Amazing!

Hong Kong Open draw is out, Garbine is still listed as No. 1 seed  I would think it's better to withdraw, not worth the risk of injury.

Muguruza's been playing a lot lately. If she wants a chance to win the YEC, she better not play Hong Kong. I think she has a real chance of winning the YEC - we all know what happens when Halep becomes the favorite to win something. And the other top players aren't playing great.

I created a thread for the 3 internationals this week. I know they're small tournaments but big names playing and it's a crucial week for Singapore qualification!
