Welcome to the twelfth event of the 2015 WTA Sudden Death League season: US Open

Current Rankings - League Rankings and Race

Rules of the game:

1. It's a knock out-system: if the player you picked wins, you're through to the next round. If she loses, you're out.

2. You can pick a player only ONCE. Obviously it's important to make smart choices in order to get far. If you have no picks remaining, you're eliminated from the competition.

3. You can't pick a player from a match that has started already.

4. NEW RULE for 2015 - You cannot advance to the next round via a walkover since it is hard to know exactly when someone announced they were pulling out HOWEVER this rule does not apply once you reach the semifinals

5. Since you can no longer win a match by a walkover it is highly advised that you make a back-up pick to your main pick - when listing your picks make sure you specify which is your back-up.

6. If the player you picked retires during the match, you're out. If she retires before the match, your back-up pick will be used.

7. NEVER edit your pick. If you want to change your pick, please quote your old pick and choose a new player. Edited posts will not be taken into consideration.

We will be picking 10 pick's for this tournament. Our schedule is..

Pick 1: round 1 top or bottom half (depending on schedule, we will know by Saturday or Sunday)

Jesus christ, do you kids really not know how to post an OoP?

This is pretty simple.

Not only that, I also get a laugh when some posters ask questions like "Who is in so and so's section of the draw?", "Who is so and so playing next?", or "What time do matches start?". They obviously have access to the internet and a computer or some mobile device because they're on the forum so why can't they just go to the tournament website or ATP/WTA website and look for themselves?

I've never said anything because I don't want to sound mean - maybe there's a specific reason why people need to ask the question here - but as I said, I always get a laugh out of it.

What I always find depressing on this forum - and yet, rarely surprised, is that when someone tries to be helpful (thank you @Aussie Darcy ) is that there is always some one ready, at best to be critical but worse, just mean spirited.
Why is that necessary especially for what is generally a fun game that some one (thank you @Boozyuzi ) takes the trouble to organise.
just sad.

Aye, we had this at the French Open as well..

Moving on, any more predictions.. starts 4pm Scotland time tomorrow. :)

So you're telling me this...

Is easier to read than, oh I don't know, the ACTUAL draw?

That's impressive. That also tells me you have never played a meaningful sport in your life.

I find you really quite a contradiction : you make some great points; create some interesting threads but you can just be so spiteful.
I'm beginning to believe you are actually 2 people.

Posting the Wikipedia draw is actually pretty easy because it's updated in real time and everything is on one page. I use wikipedia to make my picks for the slams and an atp mobile app for the other tournaments. It's not that "unreal" and you really don't need to be rude about it.
Also easier to make picks. I usually make a pick that is disposable. Like whoever is most likely get to face Serena is my next pick.

Day : Venus Willams
BU: Bencic
