Interesting that the organisers decided to schedule the 2 top 10 players for the daytime match and the 2 lower seeds for the night match.

I'm guessing that they think Raonic-Monfils will be more entertaining?
To be honest, I think that both matches have great potential and I'm gonna try to stay awake for both!

Murray is just a really bad opponent for Ferrer on a hard court. It is hard with his playing style to know exactly what to do against someone with Murray's game.

2 things do not change, the ball has to, has to go over the net. The ball has to land in the court. Whatever happens beyond that may be out of your control...

I'm surprised they put this much in the day session, seems like a more exciting match on paper than Monfils v Raonic.
I agree. I don't understand why Raonic-Monfils is the primetime game. This match has bigger names, and better seeds. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Yes, to benefit Murray, faster conditions will help hit through Ferrer... very simple choice for the tournament's best interest.

Poor Ferrer got broken being 40-0 up making 4 straight errors. He is missing an easy shots which is a bit unusual considering his nature of his shots (high margin of error). Murray too is not playing good as last year (missing too much, dumping balls in net etc) but he will win this since it seems like just as Nishikori, Ferrer has lost this match in his mind before first point was played. It's unfortunate these Top Ten players have no themselves against Top four. Tennis need a new crop of youngsters replacing Ferrers, Berdychs, Nishikoris early as possible.

Why is everyone playing so sloppy all of a sudden? This is ridiculous from Ferrer. Murray not exactly lighting up the court either. Reminiscent of yesterday's match, though not quite so bad.

5-2 Murray. Very low quality match. No resistance from Ferrer whatsoever. This will be a quick straight sets win for Murray as things going now.

Sup boys and sexy (and not sexy but cute, or otherwise) ladies.

(I'm joking)

How is the match? Low quality you say? OK then.

Excellent serving and decisive play from Murray from 15-40 down to take the first set 6-3.

You have to appreciate Ferrer's positivity, as opposed to Kei's complete resignation for 2 and a half sets yesterday. Ferrer was absolutely awful for about 15 minutes in the 1st set there, but he kept plugging away and is playing decently again. Kei would be down a double break in the second by now after a bad patch like that.
