Djokovic leads their H2H 9-1, with the last meeting at Paris 2015. Many breaks of serve and momentum shifts in that match.
Simon had a very convincing and straight forward win over Delbonis, while Novak won in straights over Seppi. Was really hot and cold throughout that match though. Fun match though...
Nevertheless, I'm thinking Djokovic in 3, maybe 4.

Djokovic in current form will prevail, but today match shows that people may not rate Seppi or Simon but they can be very dangerous, people were saying this is easy draw but look good performance by halys,Seppi, with Simon looking good then dangerous Nishi and last either Berdych or Fed in semis, suddenly his draw look more tough than usual first glance.

Djokovic isn't looking his best right now imo but we all know he ups his level when needed.

That Paris match was hilarious!

Hope Simon makes it competitive. Novak in 4.

I do want match to go till 4th set ,a better preparation before facing Kei.

I don't know about this. A Simon victory would be more than surprising. Simon is such a beautiful striker of the ball that I don't see him beating Djokovic.

He gives Djokovic too clean a ball to hit... Djoker struggles more against garbage or HUGE servers. Simon is neither.

I think Simon is the ideal opponent for Novak at this stage of the event. But I am sure the perfectionist within him will want a better performances than the one he put out today, despite the fact that Seppi was a tricky customer.

Seppi match is not surprising. The first 3 matches he had to work. Couple young tough players. Seppi is a tough player. Djokovic has always had to work at the ao and usually does not play at his top form. Just look back at his 2015 run. He is doing what he has to and getting it done in 3 sets. Becker manages the djokovic brain pretty good. Becker likes the play like a beast only when you have to mantra.

I feel that Simon is going to make the match more difficult than most people are expecting. Still loses in 3 or 4

At first glance the H2H appears lopsided, but Simon-Djokovic matches have always been close

I expect Djokovic to win, of course, but this will be a test. Could take 4 or even 5 sets, just enough to tire him before he plays Kei

I presume that was the intention of placing Simon in this part of the draw. #FreeNovack

Maybe they (who are they?) will accidentally put a Croatian flag beside his name rattle him.

Maybe change that sig? Gives away your obsession (Federer)

They already proclaimed him as a Croat in 2007 Montreal, so it wouldn't be original. They will think of a new way to sink even lower.

Nole will hold the trophy, he deserves it after years of waiting for his turn.
Dont get me wrong he is the product of what the tennis environment asked
of every player and he has stayed on course with incredible injury proof body.
Without Nole & Wawrinka we would have Birdman vs Muzzler at the top and
that would be the end of the sport.

I like Simon. Similar to Seppi he will have a chance to take a set if Djokovic isn't on his best. But otherwise it will be fairly routine

2015 Did Nadal have any good match ;) Have to see the IW match again. I don't recall. What happened?
Nadal played an absolute sh1tter of a first set, but the only problem was that Young was even worse, lol. Nadal played a bit better in the 2nd, while Young stayed the same. Final score was 6/4 6/1. I think Rafa made 1 winner and 15 UEs in that first set.

Simon is playing well but unless Novak has a really off day, it will get no closer than 1-2 75 sets

Simon is a seasoned Veteran and can be a tough opponent, Djokovic is improving his game though, it will be a good match, Djokovic in 3 or 4.

Cheers

Without Nole, we would have Fed and Murray at the top of the sport. In your dreams only, Berd is near any kind of top. As for Wawa, yeah, I know, he won RG but what else has he done last year? Absolutely nothing. The guy has 0 consistency. He would not be at the top, Nole or not.

Should have said once Fed retires but I never liked Bird and Muzzler tennis or antics, prefer Nole any day but as much as I never liked Fed when he was ontop and full of ego, his tennis is what I prefer now that most of the field are pushers instead of all out aggression, creative fine touch and play.

We are lucky still to have what we have so far but the loss of Delpo, Soderling, Tipsy and even Mario Ancic (one of my faves) has made the matches less exciting

I dont have the video of Ancic beating Federer but Roger was embarrassed 6-3 7-6 6-3 by little known 18-year-old Croatian qualifier. Federer interview was ironic as he did lose to Super Mario
