This is like the worst nightmare all over again.

With Fed's diminished schedule probably leading to a 3 ranking for him, don't be surprised if you see these 2 meeting in at least 2 more slam finals this year, with predictable results.

I've been unimpressed with Djokovic all tournament when he's not had a good pace of shot to feed off to create his own offence - it's been hit and miss. Also, he's been impatient in longer rallies.

His problem in B05 on clay at times IMO. Odd combo of passive play and impatience.

Still, gotta like ND in the final. Can't see AM beating him over 5 on this surface. Only thing that could give pause is could he really lose AGAIN to ND and AGAIN in an AO final?

If you like Murray though, go for it. Djoko is like a 2:9 favorite so money to be made. Uncle Nate needs new kicks.

I'm smoking dat **** and the delusions are excellent. Murray in 5.

Deja Vu? Djokovic in 3. Wooden Spoon is on it's way Rafa.

I guess the point on Murray making the final was to keep the points he made last year because there is no chance...IN HELL.

Murray looks fantastically fit, so Djokovic will need to be peaking to get this done IMO. I don't know who I like yet, because Djokovic looks rather fallible to me. Will vote tomorrow.

We need some positive energy from the Murray fans in this thread, yes the history is not in his favour. Yes Djokovic has looked outstanding by destroying both Federer and Nadal in his previous matches. Yes Murray is coming into the match after a tough 5setter. Yes Murray is the underdog but lets get some hope going!

Murray has beaten Djokovic in slam finals twice before. We dont know which versions of both will turn up on the day so lets at least have some belief that this isnt going to be one way traffic. If Novak comes out firing and beats Murray then fine, we'll deal with that and noone will be overly suprised but untill that possibly happens. All aboard the Murray hype-train! ;)

Lol, I'm sorry but I don't really see it. Remember the history, and remember the surface. Think of AO 13, people will saying many of the same things, about how fit Murray, about how he might have the upper hand (actually that tourney was sandwiched between 2 slam final victories over Novak)

It's just too slow, ND is too athletic. Anyone who picks AM might be happy for a set or 2 and will start to regret it midway thru the 4th. Just my opinion of course :)

USO is too far away but the FO I still give Federer the edge. Don't forget Murray is defending a 1000 points in Madrid, a SF/F in IW/Miami.

Fed's not playing Miami or ANY of the clay up to RG.

He's not defending any points in Miami + he said he may reconsider playing a warm-up tournament on clay which would probably be Rome.

Murray is defending 2580 points until the FO.
Federer is defending 2050 points until the FO. Fed has also added Rotterdam to his schedule.

Yeah, all those things are swirling around in my head.

I guess it's possible, but it seems too many points to make up to me. But even if Fed is 2, he'd probably lose before the final at RG

From a fan's perspective, I'm guessing youd prefer AM won?

Point construction over ball bashing. Natural talent over freakish stamina. All court player over baseline grinder. Human being over robot. Honest personality over fake wannabe. Andy in 4, let's do this.

I prefer Novak to Andy. From my perspective, I'd have a slight preference for Murray due to coming so close yet so far at the AO; same for Djokovic at RG.

Do you reckon he could hear her scream from England?

He will demand that they play footage of the birth on the big screen.

When the umpire inevitably declines, he swears at his box, receives multiple time violations and point penalties, then walk off the court Jeff Tarango style.

Djokovic then gleefully approves of Murray's act, and rips his shirt after a hard fought 30 minute win.

Final Odds: 1:5 for Novak. Murray 4:1 underdog. Means they think Novak has somewhere between 80 and 83 percent chance of winning...

Fed, Nadal, Djok, Murray in that order? But still like and respect Andy? That's my sense of you

I would have gonne with 4 sets for Novak but given how their latest and most current matches went, I'd have to go with Djokovic in straight. The last 2 times they played on a HC Djokovic demolished Murray especially in Shanghai which was as bad as Nadal in Doha and the first 2 sets against Fed in the Semis.

I've seen the same opponents who gave Nole a bit of trouble(in relative terms) toward the end of last season on hard court, replicate it this year(Berdych and Simon in Paris) while the same opponents Nole brushed aside in the Asian swing and WTF still got destroyed this year as well(Nadal and Federer) which is why I don't see much changing for Murray. I expect a pretty straight forward victory for Nole unless his concentration blip.

Nole will have plenty of looks in Murray's serve and knowing he can break him(or anyone for that mater) Nole will relax and play a lot freely on his own serve.

Nole takes this one in straight, the last 2 encounter between the 2 were heavily one sided in Nole's favor and I've yet to see anything to convince me otherwise.

LAWL. Nadal is dead last - come on now. I respect all of them (and for now Nadal is still the best I've seen, lol).

Enjoy the match, folks. I won't be staying up for it, but might wake up early and hope it's in the fourth or fifth set.
