Someone, I forget who, has accused him of testing positive for the same drug Sharapova did. Saw it on tennis.com. I think it was someone previously involved with German DC team?
Hmm interesting, thanks for the reply.

This doesn't really belong in this thread, so it'll be my last comment on it here, but WADA may have really opened up a bigger can of worms than they bargained for, especially in an Olympic year. That drug is apparently prescription in the US but OTC in Latvia where it's made as well as other places in Eastern Europe and, of course, Russia.

Starting to feel like some bird-dog investigator was trying to make his / her rep, and/or the organization just didn't really think it through that far ...

Is anyone else seeing this Skysports advert on Murray? Looool. I'm sorry but the guy is not that special. The way the British media amps him up, you'd think he was the ****!

Berdych survives the first set. 7/6. He's playing average as well. Speaks plenty about where Delpo is right now. Did well to get it to a TB, but his slice backhand is such a big hindrance. Puts the rally back into a neutral position, which Delpo doesn't want.

Do you guys support having mics on court? What's the point? Mark said to pick up the sound of the ball? I've never thought about it tbh, seems odd

Basically this. There were plenty of chances to capitalise on for the break... His serve and FH is keeping him in it. Still an admirable effort against a top 10 soon after returning to the tour :)

Looooool Kyrgios, gift that keeps on giving. Wonder if he did swear there though?
ATP double standards in action. When was the last time Murray got fined for swearing on court - which he does pretty much in every match? I think some umpires love being the centre of attention. It's just the time we live in; everyone's got to have their 15 minutes of fame. And I guess for umpires that's creating something out of nothing. It's understandable. I'd get bored too, doing what they do.

Andy Murray swears like a sailor on court. He doesn't even hide it, and he never gets fined.

FACT WOW, never thought about that. He does it as regularly as Nick (I think) but the refs turn a blind eye of course... Nick wouldn't throw his mate Andy under the bus and hot him up like he did to Rafa "Rafa takes ages between points, why don't you do anything"

Never thought much about it either, I wonder what it would sound like without them. Probably they're necessary.

Well, he broke the Fred Perry draught with his Wimbledon victory, and then the MurrayFam won Davis Cup for them after - what had it been, like a 1000 years?

So ... yeah, there'll be a little overkill.

But they've been serenading him like this even before those achievements. Trust me, I know. I live in the UK and I've been following tennis since 2007. They'd be doing this even if he hadn't won all he has. If all he had was the M1000s and the Olympic golds, the British media would find a way of inflating those achievements. In fact they did. Shortly after Murray won the gold medal in 2012, several British pundits used terms like "fifth grand slam" to describe that achievement.

I'm sorry for the rant. I just really hate bias in the media.

Yeah, this is over. I feel really bad for Del Potro, but he needs to hang it up. The key to his past success was that his backhand could set up his forehand. That is clearly gone now.
