For those who have tennis TV, the fun starts at 124 minutes in. Kuzzy says 'look, I'm changing socks'. Then Makarova says 'I'm changing clothes'. Then Kuzzy says 'That's going to take forever, I want my coach'. Then the ump says 'You already chose. No coach for you!' I guess it's the rules, but understandably annoying for Svetlana.

The most amazing thing is how long the discussion keeps going. That's six minutes I'll never get back. :)

lol, I have a feeling there could be some bad blood between these two Russians or more likely their coaches. Like all sports in Russia, it's divided by politics, the bad blood can be traced back to communists era, their coaches (and coaches' coaches) sabotaged each other to climb in the sports bureau. The "pupils" from different camps won't see each other eye to eye. I remember a few years ago in winter Olympics, the Russian skating coaches didn't even talk to each other and there was one coach address another coach as b1tch in the media.

 I had no idea! Lol

And @flyingboris I died at Kuzzy's slowed labored sock inspection/shoe tying and the umpire glaring. I was just waiting for the time violation. LOL! Good stuff.

Yeah, effing Commies. Much better to be coached by capitalistic stalwarts of morality like Bill Belichick, Bobby Knight, Rick Pitino and numerous other upstanding and universally respected citizens. ;)

Lol my wife is from Indy and she loves Bobby Knight from her childhood. Any time she's watching March Madness and some retrospective involving him comes on (which is every year it seems) she makes me watch it so I can understand the greatness. I do enjoy the chair throwing, but they hardly ever show that :(

Not a clue who he, or any of the others are, but I'm guessing there no Dan Maskell or John Barrett :)

How can anyone root for Azarenka is beyond me. Girl makes me wanna punch herb :D.
I find every single thing about her to be an annoyance, from her mannish gait to her hideous grunting ...I hope she pulls a muscle doing that moronic dab.

I don't think Azarenka cares about being liked.. not that theres anything wrong with that

You really don't like Azarenka do you? o_O A few weeks ago you were adamantly trying to persuade people that Azarenka wouldn't beat Serena at IW. Face it man, she's the one most likely to step up these days if Serena is MIA.

Oops, my mistake. To be honest, I thought he'd written "Konta" instead of Azarenka. Anyway, I have no problem accepting she'll be on top of the game (barring injuries), I just don't think it's a certainty. But that scepticism has nothing to do with me liking her or not: I'm usually pessimistic about the players I do like and optimistic about the players I don't like. It's a family thing. :)

Other than her screeching, what don't you like about Azarenka?

Are you serious?

I am. She is playing some serious ball right now. Go look at the top 10 and tell me who else is playing as well as she is so far this year. The sad part for her is that the clay season is coming up which is easily her worst surface. But she now ranked #5 in the live rankings and doesn't have a lot of points to defend in the upcoming months. Her ranking will be going higher.

Yeah, my mistake. Because everybody was talking about Konta, I assumed you were saying that about her (didn't read properly). My fault.

Personally first and foremost, the noise. But, there's something about her I can't warm to.
That said, she can beat Serena Williams, and with the exception of Henin, I tend to like those players a little more.
I'm positively loving Kutznwsova right now
;)

But Kuznetsova has to go on and win the tournament for that Serena win to mean that much, otherwise it will seem like a hollow victory. It's always touch and go with Kuznetsova.

Kuznetsova/Timea (whose last name I cant spell so I wont attempt to) should be interesting. Timea has beaten 2 top 5 players to get this far, Kuzzy knocked out Serena. i'm torn...I want Kuznetsova to win largely because I'd like to see her win something big again, but Timea has stepped up this tournament and would deserve a title match as well. Granted...I havent seen much of the swiss lady's game to know how she would match up against Kuzzy, but if she could beat Halep she could beat Kuzzy.

Azarenka looks on track to complete the double, shes stomping the yard here in Miami...although I wouldn't be surprised if her body randomly decided to say screw it and gave out on her either because shes never been the most consistently fit woman. I'm hoping Keys beats Kerber...not because I dislike Kerber but Keys is a florida girl it would be nice to see her go one match further, and shes been playing great tennis this week...which has gone unnoticed I think.

Well she won her next match which is a step up from most that beat Serena Williams. So I'd be happy for her to win the title.
But I LOVE Vinci, and she didn't go on to take the title - doesn't diminish her to me personally.

Dunno if it's been mentioned anywhere here yet, but Chris Fowler during the earlier broadcast said that Keys and Wilander already split.

Madison is such an infuriating player. I always feel like she has so much potential talent physically. She has really clean ground strokes and a really good serve. She moves real well for her size as well. But she has the brain of a jellyfish. Just whacks at the ball as hard as she can regardless of the situation so any player with a bit of craft just draws an endless amount of errors from her. If she could learn to take just a bit of pace off some of the time she could be so much better.

And the fact that she just absolutely runs through coaches/advisers/whatever the hell you want to call them ain't a real good look.

Keys has to be one of the dumbest ball bashers I've ever seen. This girl has no clue about shot selection and has no plan B. I know we are looking for another US multiple slam champion but Keys isn't the answer. She's too inconsistent. She may win a slam if she's in the zone and can have a great week like a Cilic but that's probably it.
