It's pretty damp and cold out there today. That will favour Monfils a lot! Maybe in 3 sets Nadal would win. But Monf can easily win in 2 as well.

Nadal hasn't been quite as dominant as his prime years this time, but he still ground wins. Some really impressive stuff from the Clay Master. I thought his winning days are over at M1000s or slam levels but he totally proved me wrong. I just don't see how Monfils can beat Nadal. 7-6 6-1, Nadal.

He'll need some luck of the draw but I'd say RG. Problem for him is that to win a major one had to defeat atleast one the big 4. Usually 2.

I dont see him taking out Nadal or a jittery Novak even (yet to win a match against novak). Andy and Roger I'll give him a chance against.

So, his best chance is hoping that Nadal, Murray and Novak end up on one side and take each other to a marathon. Wawa remains his inconsistent self and he meets Roger in the SF who isn't all that great on clay anymore.

With that plus home support plus Novak's issues at RG in general, he *could* have a decent chance
