Got his cash and points for a 250F/500QF; got to 2-4 first set but saw the needle on "E"; no gas in the tank so save himself for Marseille if he's playing there???

Agree that Mahut has impressed here; probably a combo of that and Troicki tank.
 
RBA will be feeling the burn during this third set...lots of mileage since the start of Sofia.

He will be aided though by a bye and a walkover into the QFs there.
 
Gasquet would win this tournament so, so easily. Such a shame he wasn't healthy enough to play here.

I agree that that may have happened, but I'm not sure I consider it a tank if he's just too tired.

Gasquet would most likely have made the final, but Cilic could definitely have been a 50/50 opponent for him if it is Cilic who makes the final from the bottom half. Monfils could also have been dangerous.

I don't know what gives with Gasquet these days! He was absent from the AO with injury then was well enough to cruise through Montpellier to another title and now isn't well enough to play Rotterdam? Does he really suffer from this strange on and off lack of form or is he just using it as an excuse to pick and choose what and where he wants to play?

With victories over Cilic, Pospisil, and Simon recently Zverev clearly has it all.

Monfils is winning this match playing at 50%.

I'm still not sure what Zverev's strenghts are. He's sort of decent in everything but no major weapons. With his height he should be serving a lot better too. Hope he improves.
