Fed is done in slams. How is that hard to comprehend?
Why does federer have a bad habit of hitting the ball back to the opponent when he has time to hit it cross court. I noticed this alot in his matches. It's dumb lol
Why are people just ignoring the fact that Federer was clearly injured at a crucial point in the match? This clearly had an influence on the final result.
"Inexcusable"? Federer doesn't need to make excuses for anyone. Your analysing Federers game like he's an amateur. I'm sure you've never double faulted before. Would you like me to watch your matches and ask you to explain each of your every misses? He double faulted, big deal. Your setting standards for others that you could never meet. The 4th set was key. Milos served very well when down break points, not much Roger could do on those so not his fault there. However, the 5-6 40-00 game was inexcusable, that is what killed him today - although he wasn't guaranteed to win the breaker. Only he will know why he served the 2 double faults, over serving on the 2nd serve each time.
With the mediocrity of players below him he still maintains a nice gap at #3. Don't expect this to hold true after Cincy and the USO though
i'd rather him win another at the USO to be honest. But he has to stay healthy, play himself into form, and yes Djokovic has to lose again because Federer doesn't have the nerve to beat him anymore. Oh well...never count out a player of Rog's caliber but it's starting to get frustrating.
Murray deserves a third major after all his lost finals.I'm pulling for Raonic in the final. If he came through that, he should win. No excuses
You didn't believe in anything from the start.
And there you have the real point. For years Fed's return game on grass has been falling to pieces. This is not a new thing.Federer was 1/11 in break points.

Link's broken, Clay. Get on it.
Never count out Gramps, at least on grass. They day he retires, is the day he is done.
If he can get 3 semifinals for the 3 US tournaments that would be a great result and should seal his place at the WTF.I think his level should rise then though. Plus Cincy is faster these days so the serve shouldn't crumble as easily. I think we'll see a 2015 Federer for the rest of the season. He still won't win the USO but maybe Cincy and perhaps with a little luck the World Tour Finals.
... but the assumption that players will go on winning slams into their 30s is most likely simply wrong.

I agree. In fact, I was convinced Raonic would be very dangerous at the AO this year, and I've been expecting him to push through. For the most part his return game has edged back a bit in stats, but in big matches he is getting more dangerous.Because I'm realistic and have been watching what's been going on for the past few months. Federer coming back from surgery, little match play, played a long five set match vs Cilic, he has aged and declined in many areas whereas Milos has improved in every aspect of the game, is a hard worker and extremely motivated. I really don't know what some people were expecting. They were thinking more with their hearts than with their brains IMO.

yes Raonic did exceptionally well forcing those double faults in crucial moments. Hats off to him...he played with the grace of Sampras and McEnroe combined today. Nothing Federer could have done.
Well done MILOS. That was very impressive.
Commiserations to all the good Fed fans out there @Firstservingman @nowhereman @NatF @Martin J @TheFifthSet and others I unintentionally left out. Your guy fought like a lion at this Wimbledon, massive respect for the GOAT.

You know what he's trying to say. MUG this, CLOWN that, club footed penguin, etc. You don't even have to actually read what he says to know what he's saying anymore.Link's broken, Clay. Get on it.
Whatever he did, he did his best. What puerile analysis. The poster is NOT a professional tennis player. Your analogy holds zero weight. It's immaterial what some hacker does on a High School tennis court, we're talking about Roger Federer here!
And "he double faulted, big deal" is more of the same nonsense. In case you didn't notice, Roger's back to back DF's cost him the match.

Are you being sarcastic?
Also wtf is the point of Lubacic (or however the f you spell his name)? He's lost both matches to Raonic with Lubacic in the box.[/QUOTE
Yeah, it's weird. It's turning into Berdych vs Murray. Berdych couldn't beat Murray after hiring his previous coach.
I hope Muzz destroys this drone on Sunday and I'm confident he will. Of course, I was confident Roger would win against Raonic in four....
Probably niggling injuries exacerbated by physical rallies and that fall.Federer is injuried? hopefully it is nothing serious
raonic actually had 40 UEs (including 11 DFs) ...so it wasn't extremely clean tennis from him.
Not to worry, you were right.....
