2017 ATP Sudden Death League: Acapulco

I've already picked Nick so my only 2 players left are Cilic and Querrey (assuming I can still pick Cilic). I think it's safe to say I won't be winning this title :D
Same. But I'll wont count the owls before they are delivered.
QF: Querrey
BU: Cilic

Out of interest, what happens if Querrey should get another walk over?

If Kyrgios were to withdraw before the match, you would advance to the Final. BU "rule" in the OP no longer applies and you've clearly made your pick well in advance of the scheduled match time.

Edit: However, if Querrey is the one who withdraws, then we would need to look at your BU.

You mean both Querrey and Cilic withdraw before the match?

Should have said Kyrgios in the previous post, as he will be Querrey's opponent. (I thought it was Querrey vs Cilic in the SF for a second)

So just to be clear:
If you pick Querrey and he gets a W/O from Kyrgios, you're through to the Final.
If Querrey instead gives the W/O, then we would need to check who your BU is. (This applies for any player you pick from now on)

I knew what you meant.
Thanks

So still need a BU ( if you still have other players to pick)

Let say we have SFs bwt :
A & B : SF1
D & C : SF2
I picked A already in QF, and have B, C, D available for pick in SF. Now:
1. I pick C, then C withdraws => my only choice is B evidently. If I didnt pick my BU, does it still count?
2. I pick B, then B withdraws but I only know when SF2 already started and I haven't pick my BU. Am I eliminated?

I know I'd better pick a BU if possible anw, but these questions are just in case I forgot to pick one.

I would have thought the onus is on us, as players, to pick a back up. I think for a final it's fairly obvious as we would have only one pick, if we haven't run out previously.

Done by Thiem on a Friday again!
Ah well, at least it saves me having to worry about getting picks in on time as I head off for a weekend away.
Good luck to everyone else still in!

This one stings! I had Cillic in QF and had Johnson just retired when the match started I would be in the semis with a real shot to win the tournament.

Anyway you win some you lose some :)

Good luck to everyone still in and congrats to Krish on doing a great job! See you in Indian Wells :)

Another reason to dislike The Package even more...I had Cilic in QFs, saving Nadoll and Querrey/amor y paz/Honey Nut Cheerios for the SFs/final.

Such is life...at least Cilic was exterminated with extreme prejudice.

Don't think anyone had a pick left here for the final, but thanks for playing and see most of you in the desert very shortly.
