You can use your Save Pick to advance if your player loses or retires during their match. The pick can be made in retrospect - for instance, say you pick Tsonga in a given tournament, but see that he's losing his match or has just lost. You can ask for him to be replaced with another player who has already won his match and thus progress to the next round/day.
