I think it probably doesn't help that Davis Cup SDL has a chequered history - I recall it being, in the past, just for fun and no points on offer. I recall being unaware the status had changed and therefore missing it a couple of years ago.

Thanks, I didn't mean to be as salty as the Dead Sea about it, lol. I was just voicing my displeasure with the rule because of the time zones. Like I know Australia had already completed their first Rubber at least 16 hours before The US even played their first rubber in Birmingham, so to me it seemed a little crazy.

You don't remember that thread from a few weeks ago? Kyle Edmund lost his match @ IW to Djokovic, and then someone posted a thread citing an article that Edmund received a bunch of nasty threats on social media. Most likely they were from gamblers who lost a bunch of a money, but even so, some of the things they said were just terrible. I can't remember verbatim what one person said, but it was something to the effect that he/she hoped that Edmund would be ***** and sodomized and then like chopped up and fed to pigs or something outrageously awful and insanely specific.
