Fun fact: the Back-Up rule was trialled and used at this very SDL tournament 3 years ago.

And, if I'm not mistaken, I first brought the use of "back up" to the fore. I, and others, were unlucky if a player withdrew but we were unaware because of time zones. We'd wake up to find our pick had given a walk over.
At the time, there were those VERY against a back up pick.
