2017 ATP Sudden Death League: WIMBLEDON

Funny thing about that, it's eerily similar to the actual WTA, in the sense that if you win a big tournament or make a fun to the final, you can improve your ranking from obscurity to inside the top 10, possibly even top 5.

Kind of - the competition is definitely a bit tougher this year
That said, if you're starting from scratch as a new SDL player it takes quite a bit of work to get to the top - need to have a solid platform to launch from, usually a Top 20-30 ranking

That can't be a thing, can it? Gel in your hair while playing a match? Maybe post match presser or something, but during the actual match, seems like a waste of time. You're sweating so much, why even bother?
When I was browsing on Eurosport and saw Dracula in his chair... I was like hmmm Who is this guy w more hairgel than Raonic? Further investigation I saw in the app who it was, and w the same hair style as in the photo!
It is truly remarkable how that hairgel can sit like that in the damp weather in London. I lived there and I had hair problems. I have been googling to find out what kind of products Raonic was using, this was like 2 years ago, in Raonics cartoon days.
I couldnt make my hair sit for an hour just walking in the street in London, while these play hours on court, being sweaty and all. W Raonic I thought he could endorse hair products as its incredible really how it sits in the hair playing in that heat and damp. This was more fascinating than Ranoics game for me for quite some time.

Ya...in the WTA game I'm #1 sitting on 6500 points, which is roughly the same # of points I have here but here I'm what 9th? I think the #1 here has like twice as many points as I do in the WTA SDL.... here it's a lot harder and it took me a full year to get in the top 10....not easy

Went to see who Sock lost too....

Some mug put Fedal in the final in the wiki, 6-0.6-0,6-1 for Federer.

This is the worst part of the tournament when you've made four solid picks, dodged a few bullets and then realize you've only locked in 220 points. :D

And it's worse now that 2/3 of the field lost this morning! I'm feeling the pressure now haha.

The french claim 2 more scalps with Tsonga and Monfils losing...if Zverev wins 7 remain in the R16....the grass season has literally been the Hunger games...

I dont know anout that. My first event was the beginning of 2016 and made the top 8 for the tour finals. I think it was this year before i hit #1 - and there ive stayed for longer than anyone (according to the trophy case methinks) ;)

It's very hard! Started at Acapulco and still not in Top 30 o_O
My target this year is to finish top 20!

Yes well you are the exception to the rule - winning so many events right off the bat is not normal
I have spent the last 6 months as the No. 2 player - any other year/"era" I would have reached the top for a few weeks by now

it can happen, you made the top 8 in a year, I'm ranked in the top 8 right now and I've been back exactly a year. But really unless you win ALOT in your first year its not likely to happen.

YOU CAN DO IT!
