This advice from David Ferrer's coach to Nick Kyrgios is amazing. "Learn to suffer." #CincyTennis

If Dimitrov wins he will be over to see Sugarpova in a hot flash, If Nick wins he'll be feeding a few more Kangaroos some snacks..:D

Cheers

Mahut/Herbert just won the doubles. Also snagged the Canada title last week.

Mahut hopping around was kinda funny to see.

@TheGhostOfAgassi Hey I saw your latest message, I will try to get to you as soon as I comfortably can. I've been real busy this weekend and I don't want to start a convo that I'll have to suddenly stop. I can't promise you when I'll be able to respond but I haven't forgotten you. Apologies.

Same goes for you @BeatlesFan and your question you asked me. I just can't get a good time to think out a good response right now but I will do it when I can. I'll admit part of it is laziness as well as being busy so please forgive me.

It's so good to see Grigor so happy and see someone who this crap actually means a lot to to win. Can't tell me that the big 4 have the same appreciation for the little things.

Neither Dimi nor Kyrgios in the poll. TTW is being constantly wrong the last few weeks and I love it.

And if this trend continues, then we have a new winner for the USO.

I am about to stop you right there. You must have missed Federer's reaction after winning his 18th and 19th GS and IW and Miami. Sorry but you are dead wrong on this point.

Don't waste your breath.
I don't mean it meant nothing to him. But any reaction from someone who had already had that much success pales in comparison to someone who had been through truly hard times. As a fan I can say seeing Dale Jr. and Andy Roddick winning felt way better than when I was a Tiger Woods fan. It meant something to him for certain. But not what this meant to Grigor.

We can't say really. I concede that maybe winning a masters, but a slam especially when you haven't won one in a long time? Nah. Federer did some crazy stuff with his trophy after winning AO, you'd think it was his first slam. These guys care.

That is nonsense.

Federer did some stuff with his WB trophy too. Federer didn't think he would have the same success again after having knee surgery.

I never said he didn't care at all. Just that winning a masters in Grigor situation was far more meaningful to him than it would have been to him.

And FYI it wasn't JUST about Fed. I meant Nadal Djokovic and even to a lesser extent Murray.

Look at Andy Roddick's reaction after his 2003 USO victory. Then look at Murray's reaction after Wimbledon last year. That is what I mean. Of course that also has something to do with Murray being a perpetual grump but that's another story.

Well it was fun stuff while it lasted. If only we could see parity like this more often.I'll try to enjoy Winston as much as I can then prepare for the ultimate US Fed circle j--- and the malaise that goes with it.

I hope Dimitrov can keep it up and have lots of success in NYC especially as this was the tournament last year where Johhny Mac questioned his heart, but something tells me he won't.

It's hard to say what to expect from Nick. He clearly showed what he's capable of when he's paying attention (he's a more talented Monfils) but will he get up (as he mentioned HIMSELF) for the smaller matches against potentially tricky opponents? Especially 3 of 5. Which is also question mark because of fitness. I still don't like him by any means, but hopefully he is starting to turn a bit of a corner with his attitude towards the game. Time will tell.

After the tournament I will make a post demanding likes for getting all my slam winner picks right. Barring more serious injury issues it's a cinch for Fed.

Long overdue success on a big stage. Dimitrov has done it, finally. USO will be interesting now that a couple of players other than big 4 have won the M1000 events of USO series. With a good draw, I think Dimitrov can do it. He should be a top 5 favorite in my book.

excellent tourney after all the depressing withdrawals we had. good crowd for the final, not packed in but good considering events..

2 close sf..and a final with 2 new players. sir grigor wins an upsidedown vase along with his 1st masters title.

nick seemed a bit off today..his best match was against rafa.

I just wanted to say it's super annoying that ESPN is pushing that song from the Lacoste ad in their promos. I want my Kings and Queens back.
