Just curious but what will the top 5/6 rankings look like at this very moment? Raonic i take it will no longer be No 3? How far ahead do Murray and Djokovic remain at 1 and 2 over the 3-5 guys after their earlier losses?

Murray/Djokovic will be unchanged no matter what happens since they have like over 4000 points lead over the rest (thats 2 slams worth of points)
Wawrinka is now #3 with Raonic losing
Nadal can become #4 if he wins the whole thing
Raonic will finish #4 or #5 (depending on Nadal)
Nishikori is currently #5 (Depending on Nadal)
Nadal is currently #6 (can become #4 if he wins the whole thing)

Dimitrov is tough as nails this season from the little I've watched him play.

He can pose all sorts of problems for Nadal due to his aggressive play, ability to deal with Rafa's topspin and his movement and defensive capabilities which are outstanding.
If Nadal manages to through that one, he's properly set for Federer (Wawrinka too in a sense).

Yeah, I like this match as well. Nadal will hit a lot of FH's to Dimitrov's BH, but Dimi BH's is not Fed's, meaning that it's probably better equipped to handle Nadal's topspin, and maybe most importantly he has nowhere near the mental baggage that Federer has. I favour Nadal all things considered, but Dimitrov is playing well too. He just can't miss his opportunities like Raonic did, but that's a big if.

Is it me or did Raonic serve a lot bigger in previous rounds? Haven't seen him go over 227 once, while he was getting out the 235+ 2nd serves in earlier rounds
He did so all the time. Before the match Raonic said he would use his serve to dictate the points, so why would he not serve big?

Nadal playing close to the lines and going for his shots and Federer kicking arse and taking names with an oversize.

Man, TT sure rules the world of tennis! Now if only Roger hooked up with a top model...

Hey buddy - how was your morning?

Happy Roamugs out, and happy Dim will be out next.

won't be easy for Nadal vs. Dimitrov, hottest player on the tour,.beat Nadal last time and has already had a tough battle on Laver with him before...could be his moment

Nadal has huge head to head on everyone now but it doesn't feel like it anymore

Looking at their h2h, Rafa has always beaten Raonic easily except at IW in 2015 when Rafa was going down to everyone and in Brisbane and even then Raonic needed 3 sets both times.

Raonic court positioning and volleys were horrendous today

Oh I agree, I meant if we got the best Raonic can be I'm not sure Nadal would have still won. I mean, probably, Nadal has looked pretty damn good. But that match really turned in Raonic blowing that 2nd set. His form probably would have picked up a bit too if he was able to tie that up.

Saw the score but was asleep for the match. I'll catch the highlights on YouTube. From the score, maybe Raonic is still suffering some effects of the flu.

Nadal and Federer are both back again in a GS SF! Both well past their prime, yet they have shown us just how unbelievably good they are. Raonic and Nishikori well and truly in their absolute peak, are still no match for these 2 legends. One can only imagine (for those who did not watch tennis prior to 2011) what they would have done to the field when in their peak. Give us a FEDAL final!

Very solid performance from Nadal but I can't believe how disappointing Raonic was. Not sure if he hit a single backhand winner throughout and those six set points he let slip through his fingers in the 2nd set, dear oh dear.

He really did choke like a hooker, as @The_Order would so eloquently put it. ;)
LOL yeah, the hooker gag (pun intended).

I'm sorry to tell you, mate, But if you get disappointed by Raonic's performance you haven't watched him enough. :D

Well, 'disapointing' performances like Raonic' today have made Djokovic' career. It's only disapointing to you now that Djok isn't the beneficiary of Raonic' (and his peers) mental muggery.

Thinking Milos wins, but hoping for Nadal.

Milos has the ability to blow Nadal off the court.

At this point, Nadal needs a little help from Milos to win.

Congrats to Rafa,

but Milos did mightly help him in that tie-break by double faulting on set point.
I believe Milos wasn't 100% physically there; and still Rafa looked nervous on many moments.

How many lives has this cat got?

He looked finish last year losing to Verdasco.

I believe the next rd vs Dimitrov is 50-50.

I would give my left nut for a Fedal final.

Raonic looks more terrifying than he really is. When you imagine him serving bombs, you feel he's got the advantage but it doesn't always translate on the court. Rafa is leads their h2h 7:2 and on top of that, Rafa has beaten him 2 years running in the final in Abu Dhabi.

It's disappointing to me because I got up early looking forward to a long, entertaining match and what I got was pretty much on a par with watching paint dry.

Djokovic was always the real and true adversary to Federer and Nadal. Nobody else truly emerged to challenge them consistently.
Fedal fans should enjoy this little blast to the past happening in Melbourne.
When Djokovic wakes up..if he wakes up and gets hungry again...the Federer/Nadal show is over unfortunately:(

He won't. He's in decline too.
