Ich bin back. Are they resuming play any moment? Looking at the scores I assumed it had gone dark or something and postponed to the morrow. How did Ruudboy look in the start?

Begins now. Ruud looks fine, but ARV not sick and nervous.

casper is the real deal. Way ahead of his years. I think he could get a big title in his teens

Not to mention a rich tradition of tennis legends stretching from Molla Mallory to . . .

and herr Ramos with ze break back, ya

He is one of the clear next in line to carry on the long and great tradition of great Scandinavians in tennis.

I think with how the younger generations are shaping up, he could be left with quite a bit of room to win points and titles on clay in the coming decade. Agree?

I'm only really getting a look at him now. Can't trust the highlights.

Casper looks very well built and strong but not too bulky and not at all clumsy. He looks robust. I've seen some effective ability to redirect off the BH and a forehand that can kill points. His footwork and balance is frankly a lot sharper than I expected to see and that would fit in with him being shorter than I assumed (about 6 foot?). He seems emotionally edgy.

...that last point he showed some good inventiveness and resourcefulness but mugged at the last hurdle. :(

He made the right plays to hang around but just didn't finish it.

Strong as an ox for a young 18.

Rarely — a cool customer and fairly emotionally balanced, unlike pretty much all the other youngsters I watch. Which is as big a reason as any other why I think he'll do reasonably well in the longer term. Workmanlike attitude.
