Roger didn't call the trainer?

Djoker fans in ruins.... priceless when their guy retired in 3 out of the 4 majors and has a career full of fake MTO's.

I would like Stan to take the #1 ranking after having a monster clay season and Roland Garros win.

I'd like for Roger to take it back after winning Wimbledon.

Option #2, I'd like for Stan to get the #1 ranking after a having a monster clay warmup season, then being a finalist at RG to Fedr winning.

I'd love to see Federer beat Nadal at RG final but that may be one too many wish. :)

Hehe true, thanks. I just got a bit frustrated at the errors in the crucial moments. I'm over it now, decent match and good tournament from him overall.
Yeah, tough luck for Wawrinka this year that Fed is having a resurgence because he could've been the AO and IW champion instead. Stan shouldn't get discouraged, nobody expected him to reach the final in the first place so it's a good result. He's the no 1 seed in Miami so should get a good draw there.

Fed will run roughshod over Stan on clay this year as well. Stan is far past his 2014 level. 32 year old Stan shouldn't even be in a final. They should have a whole new host of 20 some year olds competing now. Not 30-35 year olds fast past it
Perhaps the primes have just moved age wise whereas the old generation who were dominant in their early 20s are tired now. So there's a gap till the new generation reaches mid 20s

Bolded no.1: Nadal would have had a say in this

Bolded no.2: In what world do we live in? Stan no.1 seed in a big tournament?

On top of my head :

1. Wimbledon
2. US Open
3. AO
4. YEC
5. Indian Wells
6. The Real Slam(TM), Cincy
7. Dubai
8. Halle
9. Basel

Hamburg/Madrid ( 3rd CC masters ) ????
Ohhh, I forgot about Basel. That makes IW the 10th event.

Yes, I counted Madrid and Hamburg as one: the 3rd clay masters after MC and Rome, the only constants.

i mean, thats what i would assume, considering he just won....
Well yes, I do hope so too... I just cannot help at being a mite sad about all young kids nowadays only being able to view the world through their phone's camera. ;)

Amazing start of the season for Feds. Amazing, amazing indeed! :) :)

Fed's speech was less than gracious. He could have noted Stan's recent slam success, but no ... He had to giggle through a canned "best wishes" line.

lol generational thing i guess, it doesnt bug me as much, especially given the venue. in some circumstances it does ofc bug me

I don't think Stan played bad tbh. He just wasn't quite good enough. A lot of his shots flew long, but that's partly the Federer effect too. He's the only guy that really robs Stan of his time and screws up his rhythm by S&V'ing and slicing occasionally, and now he even comes over more BH returns. He also has an incredibly tough serve to break (the toughest of the top players) and Stan must know he needs to be aggressive or Federer will jump on him first (again quite unlike most other players, specifically the other members of the big 4) so he presses a little bit. You see it most in the late games in a set especially.
