Kyrgios won and behaved himself.

Shame on the umpire for allowing that late challenge. It cost Zverev his focus in that game, and ultimately the match. I was waiting for Zverev to call the umpire the "pits of the world," but I guess that was another time, and Zverev is too polite for such comments.

I really do like Kyrgios' game more than Zverev's. It's less repeatable. It seems very "feel" oriented, which interests me. Massive talent to hit it the way he does and be as consistent as he is...

Great tournament from Mischa's brother. These two will probably play often throughout their careers.

Federer vs Kyrgios should happen now. Hopefully Nick's stomach doesn't flare up again before the semis.

Great win by Nick Kyrgios, regained composture after clowning in the 2nd set tiebreak and the "bad knee", hope he's tired for tomorrow but I hope he doesn't give Fed a free pass yet again.

End of 2nd wasn't great but he dug himself out of what, three consecutive 0-30 games in the third? Stuck with it and played his game and didn't even remotely capitulate to close out his performance in the third set. Well, maybe remotely.

No doubt he stayed focused during the match

I'm talking about him yelling at the line judges, umpires, and ball boys

Someone in the crowd needs to dress up as a clown for the Fed vs Kygrios match. Greatest troll ever.

Maybe Kyrgios could do it.

Actually, it would be much more funny and shocking if Federer did it. Ljubicic could also work.

Zverev seems to have a lot of potential. He seems to be clearly under development right now, whereas Kyrgios, albeit still with significant room for improvement, seems closer to his end product.

Different points of maturity game wise, the exciting thing between the two is that Zverev seems to be developing quickly mentally and in terms of match composture.

This. Alex will reach full development in 3-4 years while I think this is as good as Nick ever gets.

Wow, Kyrgios couldn't be more convincing at the moment.....

THE BEST PEER IN KYRGIOS's GENERATION? Kyrgios beats him twice in a month.....
THE WORLD NUMBER 2? Kyrgios beats him twice in a month.....

This loss will sting for Zverev....He couldn't have tried harder or played better. He was VERY emotionally engaged in this match - to the point of being uncharacteristically obnoxious at the end of the second set. And yet Kyrgios prevailed even ignoring the distraction of a slight injury flare in the last set. Brilliant from Nick. Racking up the mature wins a.t.m.

I'm absolutely sure everyone betting on Kyrgios will always have terrifying, gritty expectations when Fed starts to use lobs more often.

one of the best matches ever for me. kyrgios was the clear favorite.zverev is good also but kyrgios shots are really so "fresh".he is such a talent and he could bash all.
im so happy djokovic and murray are away - now i see i wouldnt miss anyone except federer, wawrinka, del potro.. (and some others) because these young guys deliver far more exciting game which is not so repetitive and robotic at lets say djokovic.
this was fun to watch... like when wawrinka is on fire..similar feel - the strokes of kyrgios are really so powerful..i like every shot he plays. i hope he will be healthy in the future and constant as he was today. zverev is also a talent but i miss some "special shots" :)

dolgopolov could be also on this level...a lot of potential and a wicked gamestyle but somehow he does not advance to next level

Djokovic isn't world number 1; Murray is.
Are you.... related to Nick?

I have been waiting for this. I hope Kyrgios and Zverev rise real freakin' fast. Both top-ten by the end of the year, I think.
If Kyrgios brings it like he has been potentially top 5 with Kei not playing well and Milos not healthy also Stan with the slightest dip in form.

Zverev is too passive to be interesting to watch; he's like a taller version of Thiem. He's now played Nick twice and failed to get a single BP on Nick's serve.
