If NICK is destined to be such a Great player,,,,,,,,,,Wouldn't he have gotten in 2 HUGE bomb 1st serves to take the match at 5-4 UP ?????????? Instead he misses both 1st serves and even double faulted once............... and of course, GOAT Federer gets his 1st serve in at match point 6-5.........................LOL

3 tie break sets.. Kyrgios wasn't really putting much pressure on Fed's serve. This is like a serve bot battle here. Fed's playing ok, but not anywhere near his best. I'd expect Nadal to win in the final if Fed doesn't raise his level.

So the crowd shouldn't care if a player acts the way Kyrgios did? Breaking racquets, kicking balls, telling them to shut up, excessive delays...if he can change his tune the same crowd would be behind him.
LOL, no way. The crowd already have an agenda, and we're unfairly treating Nick before any of the antics started to happen. He's been better the last couple months, trying to get on with things, but no, the crowd would have none of it. You would never see crap like this in places like NZ, Germany and the likes. Those crowds are respectful no matter what.

Can't believe anyone would try to defend this crowd. They were pulling out all the tricks today.

The match was fun though, regardless.

The crowd.

WTFFFFFFF

I hope Nick tears them apart at post press conference.

Should never play Miami again until security starts throwing out idiots in crowd.

............

This match was instant classic.

Shame someone had to lose.

Idk about that. How much does fed have in the gas tank? Nadal will have alot left.

Fed will be fine. He is fine tuned from playing a difficult opponent, so no rust coming in. He has a full day of rest. No more than a slam match. The problem for Nadal is that he can not depend on exploiting Feds BH. He is slow and not as sharp. Just don't see Rafa winning.

I'll be :eek:the crowd wouldn't do the same. They root for Fed. Nick's behaviors only earned him the extra boos :D

While I agree with what you're saying, they came in with an agenda, but didn't really play to it until he became unhinged. If he would have stayed cool, calm and collected the crowd would still have been pro-Fed, but not anti-Kyrgios. There is a difference.

He poured gasoline on the fire they were trying to light, and sometimes I think he knew it and did it anyways. That's why he needs a coach that isn't about the X's and O's of tennis, but about the space between his ears.

only so much one Australian can take of fans cheering his missed serves....I enjoyed watching him battle the fans...that was destiny, other players can brush that off, he can't, and that's good for entertainment, though probably not for his game....he lost but he did help to shine a spotlight on these insane Fed fans...they did the same thing to Berdych as well, hardly a hot head
