ARV is playing really well. He deserved to win all his matches so it is OK to have him in the final. However, one spanish is enough so allez Goffin :D

Vamos Ramos! What a tournament he is having, very happy for him. :)

Your turn Rafa.

Agut in a Masters final.
Ramos in a Masters final.
Busta having a fine season.
And of course the resurgent Bull.

The rise of Spain coming?

The placeholder armada be a-comin'! Be afraid!

Ok, I'm just bitter over Lucas losing and the fact that we'll now in likelihood have two grunting Spanish grinders in the final:eek: But very well done by Ramos nonetheless. Inspiring to hang in there and make a masters final at 29.

What about yesterday when Pouille out-clutched Cuevas and Goffin did the same to Noél?

Half-empty, half-full, etc
At this stage, unless you reach a final of a big tournament or win the whole thing, one tight victory over a 30+ year old Cuevas isn't going to impress me. If that's the best a 22-23 year old like Pouille can do, then the future is bleak.

Goffin is not a young gun anymore. He is 26. I wasn't talking about him.

Aren't you cheerful and fun this morning

:p

Post match interview of Lucas Pouille, after his 1/2 final loss to ARV ( from French daily sports "L'Equipe" ):

" Albert plays very deep, he played great...I did not serve very well today, was like this all week...there are times like that....I also failed starting new set(s), especially 3rd's...It's bad to loose serve that early...
(lower) back pain is not bad...I prefer to think / stay positive...currently my play / marks on clay are on schedule, rather good"

I believe Lucas should get into top 15 by monday.

:D

He will be #14 unless ARV wins on Sunday.

Nah, they get those results from Djokovic and Murray fking up. They'd never reached masters finals when Djokoray played at their capacity.

Man, you'd nearly wish the metronomich pu..players back if you see how MC has turned into a random 250.
