lol, the commentators just said that Fed and Haase were practising together earlier this week and Haase won the only set they played. I remember Berdych having bageled Federer in practice before Wimbledon. I've heard him losing badly to other players as well.

I think he's always said that he never plays that well in practice.

yeah, I agree. He is raising his level when required, which is a lot better than what was happening in 15 , crushing the field till the final and then losing to djoko in the final, with his level dipping. ( IW, rome, Wimbledon, USO, YEC)

As long as he keeps serving & backing it up the way he has, Fed doesn't need to worry.

The danger is that he throws in another sub par game and ends up losing the set from nowhere. Would be sit in terms of preserving energy.
