Let's talk about this interesting final.
H2H 5-2 Delpo, but Dimi won the 2 last matches.
Delpo gaining confidence and pretty much in a TOP 10 mentality and Dimi beginning to get used to go deep in tourneys.

It will be a tight match but I go for Dimitrov in 3 on this one. I think Dimi will enter court with the right mentality. Has in his baggage a M1000 this year, and this will give him the growing maturity to go for his shots with more confidence .

Del Po has played an awful lot of tennis lately, he should be on his last legs, especially with that "devastating wrist injury" he sustained in the Shanghai QF's. o_O
He and Nadal were crippled; amazing effort on their part to pick up a racquet for those matches.:D

Delpo playing for a fleeting hope of making WTF. Dimitrov playing for top 4 seeding at Auz Open:eek:; Dimitrov in 2.

Tough to call. Both players are playing really good at the moment in my opinion. Would have to give the slight edge to Dimitrov though if he can play a good match without getting stuck in a rut of errors...

Two former champions facing off in the final: defending champion Del Potro vs 2013 champion Dimitrov. Has all the makings of a good match (providing both of them show up).
great match between 2 entertaining players... let's sit back and enjoy :)

I'm going with the incumbent Real Slam Champion© and People's Grigolo. Too much libido for the Argentinian to handle at this point.

Let's tango.

Who are two guys they keep showing in Grigor's coaching box? They remind me of those two online coaches from Australia.

Now Dimi, please avoid that floating sliced BH. Delpo will return that with his FH always....The result is pretty obvious...

Very interestnig matchup this, but there's just one thing

Dimitrov has to walk such a fine line to outplay Del Potro that execution is a way bigger issue for him than for Del Potro. And Dimitrov has that against a few othe players as well, and he often ends up short when that happens.

Trying to find the low risk way. There is none. He needs to go for the right shots and execute

Agreed...and better do that fast or this is gonna end soon. You have to make Delpo move, not go on crosscourt rally, that is only good for Delpo.

Dimi a bit confused. Overusing slice BH, crossoscourting on Delpo's BH with his inside out FH, without getting any advantage from that. Result: Grigolo 1 break down

This is the classic Delpo strategy now where he preys on the predictability of opponents attempting to attack his backhand. You would think Vallverdu would know better.

Dimitrov won their last 2 encounters this year in straights fairly easily - you would think he does

Right....and to add, Rafa's match vs. Delpo in USO should be a lesson for any player who is facing Delpo and that thinks that rallying on his BH is the way to go. I suppose Grigolo didn't see that match.

Almost looks like he's a bit nervy today. Suspect this indoor court a touch faster than those two hard court wins. Delpo is able to get a few more UEs out of Dimi on this surface. Also Delpo will serve out set reliably, no?:D

Delpo has improved his serve and backhand since that match, he still has a long way to go before he is totally confident in his backhand.

Dani and his sister.
I was referring to the two men they keep showing in his box...both today and yesterday. One guy has a green sweat jacket, the other a black swear jacket. They not really in Dimitrovs box but seem to be in his camp.
