Not really; the Nadal US Open match a bit of a low point for Delpo.

Nadal played great, got to give credit to him. Delpo was covering his backhand and over compensating, so Nadal could move him all around. Delpo needs a flat backhand when he plays Nadal, he just can't make up for something like that against Nadal. After the first set Nadal was ruthless and precise in targeting his backhand to open the fh.

When DelPo is on, he can take on anyone. Plus he's one of the fastest 'big guy'. Great to see him around again.

Also, he seems to be hitting more of non-slice BH now. His slice BH is very effective for neutralizing shots and setting up to hit his bullet FH.

Vallverdu did an amazing job by going back to the basics with Dimitrov, but basics won't make you the best in the world. I hope he works on his all out offensive game in the off season. It's why Federer recks him.
