Berdych is getting up there in tennis years for a guy his size. he just doesn't have the explosiveness anymore, not that he was that explosive in the first place, but he has hardly any nowadays.

With the aussie this year, Nadal winning would have been monumental in making his case and swinging the pendulum in the GOAT argument. I don't think I sat down the entire match. It was only when hawkeye showed that the final forehand was in that I finally took a breath. Some on here were too nervous to watch the match and so they only watched it on replay after reading the score and knowing that Federer won.

oh i meant his path to the final. idk if i felt nerves or not during the final as i couldn't watch it at the time. but oh my god once nadal got knocked out, and then novak my nerves went through the roof. i will never forget that haas match and this board durin the time.

If Federer can jump on Cilic early and not let up I'm going to feel really good.

Gimpederer beat him here last yr...now he's healthy and in better form. I'd say Cilic is too, so this should be a gem.

Berdych played really well, honestly. From about the middle of the second set to the end, Federer his 27 winners and only 6 UEs (Wimby grass magnanimous numbers but still).

Federer just very calm this season, playing like everything is a bonus.

This match is not over. Roger is playing like crap on big points, smothering his FH into the bottom of the net and he looks like he's getting tired. I've watched him religiously for 18 years and he's not feeling it. He's incredibly lucky to be up 2 sets. Never forget the Tsonga match at Wimbledon!

I thought he played really well. When he was under pressure from Berdych in crucial moments, he came up with some amazing shots to get out of it. Cilic was on fire today though. I though he and Querrey played some high level and fast grass court tennis. If Cilic plays like that in the final, Roger has his work cut out for him but I still think he will win.

Federer played well.

The match was very, very close, because Berdych also played very well.

Federer was making insane passes today and was serving very well. It didn't help him that Tomas Berdych reads Federer's serve unusually well.

Cilic awaits. I think he too returns Federer's serve well. It will be an interesting match for sure.

Another interesting stat: Federer has lost a Slam Final to someone outside of {Djokovic, Nadal} only once (Del Potro, US Open 2009). That was a 5 set match.
