Great performance from Djokovic. It's good to see him back to that high level he had before Paris. The energy level and intensity is back. He looks up for the challenge of winning this again.

He’s not sick anymore so that’s good

Djoko yet again shows why he’s the greatest returner ever!

Was 11.11.18 on the camera about 100th anniversary of the end WWI /Polish independence/7th anniversary of Skyrim or did he simply get the date wrong?

Isner didn't even play badly but couldn't do any significant damage. Excellent, dominant performance from Novak.

On another topic, his outfit looks good as well. I like it.

Good grief
Murray handled an ungodly serving Treesner in Paris 2016 final, so just showing his dissent with Novak's top returner status. For me, today Djoko was amazing on first return and 2nd return which is no joke with the Isner 2nd.

Ah, but I take it all back. Course pace index had dropped to 35 this year from 40 the last two. These courts are no longer unreasonably fast.:p

Where did you get the court pace index info?

Yep Federer is having trouble adjusting and Kei too from the looks of it. Thiem in with a chance tom.

Just was on Tennis TV, but nothing on net when I googled right. Advantage Djoko in my mind, but Zedrot will probably like this better once he gets used to it.

Oh OK. It does appear a bit slower than last year and Federer said it was slower than his last three tournaments. I guess it's more medium this year. Will probably speed up a bit as the tournament progresses though.

I thought the London court speed was lower than 40 in recent years? Courier said the court speed index this year was "well under 30," but they didn't provide a graph. Not sure if that was his opinion or fact.

Wow. That was a complete destruction of a top-10 player. The 6-4, 6-3 score line actually should have been far worse. Djoker is just warming up too. He usually gets better as he gets deeper into a tournament. My over/under for the total number of sets dropped through the remainder of this tourney is 3. I.e, Djoker will only drop 3 sets during the next 4 matches en route to raising up his record-tying 6th WTF final.

I might be underrating Djoker here. He might only drop 0-1 sets for this whole tourney. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if Djoker won this tourney without dropping a set, to be honest.

Stat of the day:
Return Points Won:
Djoker: 27
Isner: 6

Djoker is nearly impossible to beat now. It's over. Nice comeback, Novak.

That graph is from 2015. According to tennistv, the CPI is about 35 which would make it medium. The last two years it was around 42 CPI.

Wow, looking at the stats. I'm used to Isner being bad on the return, but fewer than 60% won on serve??

Was that all Djokovic, or was part of it down to Isner having a bad day too?

Those are 2015 numbers:

2017 pretty much the same. Back to normal now at 34.7 so far this week so fair enough.

wow, Novak was scary good ... how the hell he returns John's bombs and makes it look so easy is beyond me. His ROS is simply pure gold. Unbelievable. Crazy stuff. Plus his serve is fantastic. Just look at the freaking stats.

Here is the rest:

Isner served at nearly 70%, with no less than 123 mph average on both 1st and 2nd and got broken 3 times and faced break points in 5 or 6 service games. Insane.

Thanks NoleFam. I did see all the stats, but just posted one that actually refers to the W/UE ratio ... stats do tell the whole story here.
Isner, again, serving bombs and Djokovic returning, or neutralizing them if you wish, like he was possessed. There were a couple of first serve bombs flying at Djokovic at 140Mph and he managed to hit direct return winners, just sick o_O

Yea his returning has been stellar this year honestly. He was awesome against Raonic in Cincy, Anderson in Shanghai, Cilic, etc. He has been able to neutralize the biggest servers biggest weapon very emphatically.

Honestly for me his serve has eclipsed 2015 level.

Fantastic stats also. Djokovic is so sharp at the moment.
