Basha is finally earning his nickname, simply bullied Edmund into submission on both sides
and served up a storm in the second set bar that break he threw away to serve it out

If you wanted to maximize prize money vs. difficulty Beijing would probably be at the top of list. Pays like a 1000 tournament and the field is about the same as Delray.

Yet another choke job from Edmund in that 1st set breaker (unless he gets himself a decent coach who can help him focus he will never win a sausage).:rolleyes:

Incidentally, does anybody else think Basilashvili is the most miserable-looking sod on the ATP tour? The guy NEVER smiles!! Even when he won in Hamburg, he stood there with his trophy and NEVER SMILED!!! :eek::confused:

if Basilashvili wins will he smile? (;

Can del Potro come back or is Basilashvili going to have an easy two set win? I have had a feeling since yesterday that the latter would win the tournament, despite del Potro getting a walkover SF win.

Surprised del Potro blew 3 break points in the eighth game. Basilashvili is serving for the match... 3 more points, but the big question is: will he SMILE if he wins?

No choke job just Basha at a level above Edmund and despite DelPos flu, I feel he had the game to upset him anyway in the finals
Courts seem very fast and suits Bashas flat hitting with a backhand above Edmund and Delpo he is finally delivering
Very happy for him, he smiled tonight and even spoke some Chinese albeit with an error that needed correction.
Would love to see Basha do it consistently over BO5 at the AO and USO 2019

Yeah, but Edmund had set points on his own serve and failed to hit a decent serve on any of them from what I can recall.

Lol...he barely managed to force his facial cheeks apart. Is it against his religion to smile or is he just naturally grumpy?? :eek:

In any event, congrats to him on winning his 2nd title of the year at 500 level and 2nd title overall. After a rocky start he is enjoying his best season by far and one can only wonder what he might have left in store for the remaining events of the season!

Hard to serve perfect for set points when returns were so well timed on the other side
Basha probably worries from wrinkles at a young age like most selfies today :)
Gotta say that clothing is pretty tight fitting for a high level tennis athlete

Either way hope he gets a proper clothing sponsor by mid way next season yet
he might end up to be another Pouille who also showed greatness for a short time
