Aussie Alex De Minaur is currently taking on world number 4 Alex Zverev and he's just won the 2nd set against the German.

They're a set a piece.

Some incredibly high quality tennis between these two players! De Minaur showing that last month was no fluke.

42 shot rally there at 2-2 30-30 in the 3rd set. Zverev gets game point.

I don't think I've ever seen a player willing to rely more on his opponent beating themselves than Zverev. He just needs to be more resolute and actually hit the ball, rather than steering it deep into the corner and praying his opponent misses.

De Minaur not giving any free points, chasing down everything. Zverev not used to that, usually gets a number of freebie winners.

Zverev just had to hit 3 shots that would normally be a winner, finally gets it though. 30-30.

The same thing happened to Zverev against Coric in the USO last year and Chung in the AO this year. When he has the ascendancy in rallies he doesn't finish the point. His offence is half hearted, the opponent chases his shot down, then Zverev bottles out of the rally because he's thinking about how he should have hit the previous shot for a winner. Anyway...break to De Minaur!

Man I truly can't wait to see De Minaur playing ATP250's, 500's and Masters across the world. Hope he continues the high level he's shown in Australia. Kid has immense talent. Really sticking it to Zverev here who isn't playing poorly but is just being outplayed.

I manage to jinx Zverev's play as he hits a number of poor errors so Alex holds for 5-3 in the 3rd set!

Well well well.

Fognini bounced back from a 0-2 hole to take the first set in Japan vs Taro Daniel, 6-4. On serve 1-1 now in the second.

Wow, just too good by De Minaur. Zverev just has no answers.

Also, Zverev has only ever come back from 2 sets to 1 once in his career. Done it once against Haase and lost it 8 other times (according to commentators).

If Zverev loses here I fear he may not want to return and play the Brisbane International (an event he's yet to play) :(

De Minaur May very well go on to win 30 slams in the next 15 years. Guy is untouchable. Always holds easily despite not having a monster serve.

WOW.

De Minaur has triple break back points! Talk about maintaining composure! This kid is so good.

2 big serves and a good point by Zverev and he saves all 3.

Looking at this match, kinda explains Zverev's lack of slam success.
He plays too much like a defender. A powerful one, but his forehand isn't good at dictating.

Serve gets him a lot of free points, but he'll have big trouble deep in a Slam against good returners, provided he even gets there.

Blame the sea captain. I wonder what sort of fee he gets for organising good seats, handing out T-shirts and getting people to sing badly?

Talk about maintaining composure. De Minaur gets broken to love, has triple break points to get back on serve but Zverev serves the 4th set out.

De Minaur forgets it all and sets a clean slate for the 5th set and leads 2-0. So mentally strong.

Zverev in the same position as he was against Chung at the Aus Open. Down 0-3 in the final set. Wonder how he'll go here. Wouldn't want another bagel.

Break point Australia for a 4-0 lead. Bagel incoming again in a 5th set perhaps? Ouch Zverev..

Zverev holds and he's on the board. 3-1.
