Fed's MTO's vs. Stan and Rafa in AO18 were clearly legitimate though, right?

:p
When I rule the world moaning about weak era will be banned first and then accusations about MTOs. There's no way anyone can know whether they're genuine or not so best to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. If people don't want to do that then get rid of them altogether.

Mind you Kyle Edmund in the Fognini (?) match did look pretty blatant....

I'm half trolling anyway, but I'm still blaming Schwartzman partly. The truth is that everybody wants Nadal to lose at RG so badly now that the fanboys start saying stupid BS that really isn't true. I think deep down even they know that, but they're too far gone to bring back. Off the deep end so to speak.

And the fact that I had the gall to even partly blame Schwartzman means my Federer fan card will be revoked indefinitely. Not that I care of course. I wouldn't want to meet 95% of this forum in real life, and I'm sure the feeling is mutual for some.
You are the awesomest troll ever. Where do you live? I wanna meet you:)

I'm in the minority of Fed fans I'm sure but as long as there are good matches, I'm cool with Nadal winning RG.

The thing is though, the rain delays do genuinely annoy me. Mainly because it stops the flow completely, kills the match threads (many people leave and don't come back) and you're left waiting and wondering when they'll even play again.

Rain delays are butt cheeks.

Only someone that has never played a real sport in their life would disagree. It's a stupid as believing that your level doesn't fluctuate day-to-day. Or if you play great one day and not the next it's because you're mentally weak or unprepared. The logic just doesn't hold up.
Agree with this & can confirm. Sometimes things just happen and fall in place, other times it's friggin' difficult to get any sort of timing. On occasions I have had this issue even on the same day with a break in play. There is some mental aspect but it cannot explain everything.

Del Potro may not win but more than his movement, his problem is that Rafa will make him play a lot of backhands. And del Potro slices a lot which Rafa eats for breakfast. But to say Del Potro has no chance is just fanboy stuff
I'd say it's much more fanboyish to believe Del Potro has a shot but it's easy to say he does when you can hedge your bets and still claim " I never said he WOULD win, just that he COULD HAVE won." Unless you're willing to pick him as the outright winner, don't @ me with your non-commital word soup.

NB GMT 17:30 it says. GMT time now is 17:27. Please come on, almost no one is using an umbrella, then it can't rain that much

Hey I'd meet you. I guarantee we will share drinks and laughs with @vive le beau jeu !

Then when we talk about tennis I'll be the odd one out as the Nadal fan, and will see how many octobrina poasts I can quote verbatim before either or both of you catch onto my devious plan.

I don't think it's suspended for the day yet.
But for sure they won't finish today.

Get out of these forums, you're not a true Fedr fan. :p

It is fair to blame Diego, but he's an inconsistent player generally who can look quite awful when he's not feeling the ball. I'm kinda like that myself, some days there's just nothing there. And a break can cause that.

It's the type of player he is.

That's irrelevant IMO. Doesn't Diego have a coach during the rain delay as well to tell him what to do?
The fact of the matter is, he needs to be able to have the mindset to jump on the advantage and close it out. It's HIS fault if he fails, not Nadal's. That's why there are only so many ATG players.
But Rafa was the one needing to change and he wasn’t. Why would Schwartzman need someone to tell him what to do? Nadal was heading for a straight setting if he doesn’t get told how to play. Disappointing in that sense I think. But that’s what happens when you’re used to being told what to do by Toni.
I take your point but the rain delay has affected Schwartzmans chances, that’s undeniable.

Might have to revoke that TTW Award you won back in 2016 too, @NatF and I can now share the spoils without you :)

Yeah and it's not like he wasn't getting broken all over the place pre delay.

Lot of his getting broken were giving gifts.

You can't give gifts to the CCGOAT

What happens if Cilic wins the match after all these Nadal-Del Po predictions?

Weren't we all making Djokovic-Thiem predictions for a while yesterday

I went to the grocery store after the first rain break: can someone not biased make a small summary what happened from Nadal being down 2-3 to being up 5-3? Did Nadal improve significantly or did Schwartzmann mentally melt down?

I’m not cool with Nadal winning unless DelHotro and Andy Murray are already out of the tournament. And I still don’t know IF I want Rafa to win this match because DelHotro is still in the tournament.o_O

Nadal found his range and started standing up to the line, hitting deeper and taking control.

Diego hit a couple of good winners but couldn't deal with the extra pressure on serve. Also struggled a bit to find his timing after the break and wasn't able to hit quite as well in the heavier conditions.

He is not Nadal hater. He is just mocking some Nadal fans.According to them Nadal have never lost match when healthy.Always excuses from them when he loses some match
Rafa wins a match 6-3, 6-1, 6-2 and looks unstoppable. Nadal fans: "Rafa looks fully fit and will win this. No one can stop him!"

Then, in the next match, it goes this way:
Nadal wins the 1st set 6-1. Nadal fans: Rafa is in the zone, this will be a straight set win with two bagels.
Nadal loses the 2nd set 5-7. Nadal fans: Rafa must be injured"/"It's the knee again"/"He has a blister.
Nadal wins the 3rd set 6-3. Nadal fans: Rafa looks fit again. This will end in four. A bagel is coming.
Nadal loses the 4th set 6-7. Nadal fans: Poor Rafa! His knee hurts him again.
Nadal loses the 5th set 5-7. Nadal fans: Poor Rafa! He was injured from the get go!.

Meh, my post wasn't in regards to matchups, just referencing that Delpo is the most formidable opponent left in the draw for Nadal and the fact that he doesn't stand a chance says all you need to know about the rest of em.
